June 2026 Update: I'm currently gearing up to enter the firefighting academy! I should be starting June 22, 2026, which will affect my Monday - Thursday availability. I will be updating my calendar after I get orientated at academy that first week and have a better grasp of what my schedule will look like. I should be free Friday, Saturday, Sunday the entire day I believe.

Information Ida Z. would like to know about your pet
Just let me know where the happy zone is for scratches! And any other preference the dog may have. I also take care of cats (including any porch kitties), can bring in your mail, take the trash out, water plants, etc.
A typical day
I love nature so I don't mind taking the dogs out to Memorial Park or the Menil park or any dog parks. Fetch is fun. My corgi was a herding dog, so I used to take her out in the backyard and we run in circles for fun.

Pet care experience
I love, love, love animals. More than people. My parents were actually offended that I love my dog than them at times. To make it easier for you and your fur babies, I will come to your house. I always require a meeting with the pets, in your home, with you present, to make sure that the dogs meet me properly, so I'm not just some random stranger coming in. I will also ask about the schedule the dog is used to. If I'm doing house sitting, when does the dog eat? How much food? Are they allowed treats? Allergies? Medication? Your animals will be in good hands with me. I am super compassionate and want to make sure the pets are taken care of. I usually don't leave until I know they have used the restroom, eaten, drank water, etc. A little about me... I do love to give out treats, so let me know if you usually limit treats. I am a Houston native. I recently (September 2024) said goodbye to my fur baby of 14 and a half years. I also have several cats - some that I rescued from the park by my house. They were poisoned and abandoned, and two were even pregnant. I was able to get them all fixed, vetted, and into forever homes. I'd love to take care of your pets while I grieve the loss of my loved one. From dogs to cats to birds to rabbits to goats. I believe adopt > shop when it comes to animals. There are so many poor creatures stuck in kill-shelters. I hope to one day have my own animal rescue. I offer boarding and day care services, but on a case by case basis, as I have cats and a small dog.
Reviews

Ida is great. Helps with our cat, and out community cats.

Thank you so much.

For starters, I loved meeting Ida prior to our sitter dates. We had so much fun talking about our pets and their histories. We live within walking distance from each other and also shared some stories about the neighborhood. Meeting her in person made me feel very good about leaving for three days while she came to feed our cats. And while we were gone, she sent a message every day when she arrived along with pictures and a report about what the kitties were up to. She even took photos and videos! Ida also did a couple of non-pet related chores like bring in our mail and check our pond for water level. I did not worry one bit about the cats while we were gone thanks to her! I would recommend anyone to hire Ida to look after their pets. For your dogs too! She is a lover of both cats and dogs and personally has both as pets. Thank you Ida for stepping in for us while we were out of town! We hope you are available for the next time.
Ida did a great job watching our two cats. Both cats were delighted to see her every time she came. She handles complicated instructions very well and leaves thorough descriptions of the cats’ conditions every time she visits. She is happy to go above and beyond and helped out us out greatly in a tough spot. She’s a consummate professional, and we would highly recommend her.
