Thanks for reading my profile. I am a 54 year old, father of two. I have been on rover now for over two years I have always loved dogs. As a kid I had a poodle and then a cockerpoo.I have included pictures of both. When I was a teenager, A family friend asked me to walk her golden retriever. Now as a father I have a cocker Spaniel. I love having a dog again. I recently learned how to cut dog nails and have been clipping my own dogs nails and other dogs nails as requested. Before I cut a dogs nails I would want to have a good rapport with the dog. I bath my dog and brush him on a regular basis. I am happy to wash and comb other dogs. I like doing personal care on animals and enjoy learning how to do it. I also like problem solving and would love to assist you in finding a solution if you are having challenges with your pet and would like assistance. Recently I was taking care of dog that had aggressive tendencies and I really enjoyed taking care of that dog. That dog allowed me to cut her nails. Recently my dog has become more reactive with other dogs and I am working on my dogs behaviour which is challenging but I am positive we can improve the situation My dog is not always positive around larger dogs but his behaviour is much better once he gets used to other dogs. This only applies to larger dogs. Feel free to ask me about it. I have also had many types of fish, eels, Oscars, jack Dempsey and a few others. I work in and have worked in heathcare for about 30 years now. I have worked in care homes as a nursing care assistant for seniors. Currently work in the disabilities field and have been there for over 25 years. I have been with my current agency for close to 20 years.before that I worked at another agency for eight years. My current dog is a very sweet and lovable cocker spaniel that I am training and he gets along well with most medium and smaller dogs. I am often taking my dog for walks, I like meeting and talking to other dog owners. In the winter I take my dog out for long walks at least once a day often twice. I have included pictures of our walks.

My boy Sahcho was nervous being with his first sitter in the city. When I picked him up he looked happy though. Got to go walking in the city too. Would definitely recommend.
Ian was very responsive and accommodating. Our pup was happy and tired when we picked him up!
Ian is great with Mila. He's patiently taking her through some of her behavioural issues, and provides her lots of walks and love.
Ian and fam took great care of my boy again! I have used them close to 10 times, and they are always awesome. 😊

Schedule
I work part time but my schedule is flexible and should be able to work with most schedules. I often have to plan around other people schedules. In my home I have another dog that is dropped off on Monday, Tuesday and Wednesdays. The dog that comes over is reactive but it getting better. I noticed that she is often better if she gets a walk with the new dog. I have thus far stopped and prevented dog disagreements. My dog gets along really well with the other dog and they often sleep on the couch together.

Safety, trust & environment
I do not offer this service. I live in an apartment. But if your dog was a good fit and he got along with my dog then maybe. My dog is medium energy and loves to play. I bring my own treats, for myself and the dog. I often take my dog on a 40- 70 min walk and would love your dog to accompany us. I often walk two dogs, both are medium sized dogs. I often walk three dogs and often think about walking a fourth or maybe a fifth dog. About dog boarding- I could host a 60 pound dog in my place but I am not sure I am set up to host much larger dogs. I would happily walk larger dogs though. I have a subscription service to woof pack so we get a regular assortment of puzzle toys and dog treats at our place.

A typical day
I often take my dog to a dog park or walk around the legislator, There are at least two dog parks by my place. My dog likes going to all places. I bring water and treats for my dog and have been known to feed and water other dogs. Update: I have a dog that comes over on Monday, Wednesday and Friday. The dog is a German Sheppard cross. I have been known to walk three dogs. My Tuesday and Thursday are free and my weekends are free unless I get booked. I try to have only one other dog at my place besides my own but sometimes I do have a second. If you want to make sure I am only caring for your dog and my dog please let me know. Thank you
