Ian has house sat for us multiple times now and has always taken great care of our animals & home. He is very attentive and reliable. Our pup loves him and even our cat who hides from most people, is comfortable with him. We highly recommend him.

Ian dropped everything and stepped in at the last minute when we had a mix up on the dates. The best!

Ian did a great job watching our four dogs in our home over the Thanksgiving holiday so that we could travel to see family. He sent great photos and took care of the dogs exactly to our instructions. The dogs were happy and the house was neat and clean when we got home. He even brought in our unexpected packages. Ian is great with animals and we will ask him to sit for us again !

I highly recommend Ian! We have two Frenchies; a 2 year old and a pup who is just two months. It was clear after a night out to celebrate a special occasion that our fur kids had just as much fun and plenty of loving attention.

Ian was amazing! Our mini dachshund, who can be both bratty and shy, took to him immediately, and Ian sent pics throughout the day. Courteous, quick to reply, super accommodating.

Calendar and availability

Schedule

Hi! I'm, Ian a dedicated pet caregiver and licensed realtor originally from Northern California. After spending several years in Los Angeles working in real estate and caring for pets through Rover, I’ve recently returned to my roots and moved to beautiful El Dorado Hills. While in LA, I built strong relationships with clients and their pets, providing dependable, loving care through walks, drop-in visits, and overnight stays. I’ve worked with pets of all ages, sizes, and temperaments, always making sure they feel safe, happy, and loved. Now that I’m back in NorCal, I’m excited to connect with local pet parents and offer the same personalized care I was known for. I have a flexible schedule, which allows me to be available when you need me — whether it's a last-minute walk or regular check-ins while you're away. I’d love to meet you and your pets and see how I can help make your life a little easier. Let’s connect soon!

Safety, trust & environment

Whether I’m caring for your pet in my home or yours, safety and trust are my top priorities. In my home, I create a pet-friendly environment with secure spaces for play and rest. All doors and gates are kept secure, and I ensure that the area is free from hazards to keep your pet safe and comfortable. My home is clean, calm, and welcoming, with designated areas for feeding, play, and relaxation. When sitting in your home, I take extra care to maintain your pet’s routine, keep their environment consistent, and ensure they feel at ease. I follow any specific instructions you provide, whether it’s about food, medication, or behavioral needs. I also respect your home by keeping it clean and treating it with the utmost care. I prioritize building trust with both pets and their owners by maintaining open communication throughout the booking process, stay, and aftercare. Your pet’s well-being is my priority, and I treat them with the same love and respect I would my own.

Pets

A typical day

1. Interactive Playtime: I will play fetch, tug-of-war, or hide-and-seek with their favorite toys. For cats, I will use a laser pointer, feather wand, or puzzle feeders to keep them engaged. 2. Training Sessions: I will teach them new tricks or reinforce existing ones. I can work on commands like sit, stay, or shake paws, and even more advanced tricks depending on the pet. 3. Outdoor Adventures: If the weather is nice and the pet is comfortable, I will take them for a walk or hike, allowing them to explore and get fresh air. 4. Enrichment Activities: I will hide treats or toys around the house for cats to find, and for dogs, I will create a scent game or use puzzle feeders to keep their minds active. 5. Cuddles and Relaxation: I will spend quiet time with them, cuddling on the couch or giving them some grooming, creating a relaxing environment for both of us. This way, I’ll make sure the pet is entertained, comfortable, and happy!

It’s definitely important to know a few key details about the pets ahead of time to ensure their well-being and make the experience enjoyable for everyone. Here’s a list of important things to check in advance: 1. Dietary Needs: • What do they eat? (food type, portion size, feeding schedule) • Any food allergies or restrictions? • Treat preferences or limits (are there any treats they should avoid?) 2. Exercise and Play Preferences: • How much exercise do they need? (e.g., how many walks a day for dogs, how much playtime for cats) • What are their favorite activities? (e.g., fetch, tug-of-war, puzzle games) • Are they comfortable with certain types of toys or games? (Some pets may prefer certain toys over others or may not like loud squeaky toys.) 3. Behavioral Traits: • What are their personality traits? (Are they shy, energetic, independent, affectionate?) • Do they have any specific fears or triggers? (e.g., loud noises, other animals, certain objects) • Are there any behavioral quirks to watch out for? (e.g., excessive barking, digging, territorial behaviors) 4. Health Considerations: • Are there any medical conditions or medications to be aware of? • **Do they have any special care needs
