Ian can care for
Availability
My schedule is very flexible, so lets chat and work out what is best for your sweet furry friends. I can do daily, occasional, and even long stay visits with enough planning. Typically, I hangout for an hour playing with and caring for the cuties, but we can discuss what makes sense and seems best for them on a case-by-case basis.

While I am very used to caring for cats and dogs, each can have their own needs (medical or otherwise) that I want to properly take care of. I am rather used to scheduled medicine treatments for my own animals at home, for instance, and have done this for clients as well. All I need to know is what each pet likes and needs (along with any specific directions when applicable), and I will do my very best to make sure they are met and that each pet is happy. Should anything happen which seems concerning, I am more than able to let the client know and get their babies to a veterinarian. While I don't drive, lift and other services are very available.
Information Ian D. would like to know about your pet
If there are any medications, behaviors to watch for, activity preferences, or anything important at all, please let me know so I can be my most ready to care for your babies! If there are medications, please make sure to let me know when and how you usually administer them. I want to make sure I keep your pet(s) on a regular, healthy schedule.
A typical day
I enjoy finding out what each pet enjoys doing in particular while we spend time together. Some enjoy chasing feathers or balls, while others want to spend time outside walking around or even going for light jogs. I like to think I am pretty adaptable, so lets figure out what is best for your cutie(s)!

Pet care experience
Growing up on a hobby farm, I took care of a lot of animals from a young age. For maybe seven years, I took care of chickens, ducks, geese, turkeys, ponies, horses, goats, and some dogs and cats; spending time looking after all these beautiful creatures, I grew to appreciate and care for them deeply. Living far from that farm now, I still enjoy caring for the three kitties I have at home, tending to each of their particular needs including scheduled feeding and nightly medicine. I've also had the pleasure of taking care of the dogs and cats of a few friends over the years when they have gone on vacation or break from university (I've been taking college courses for a while but recently graduated). While most of my friends just have a few cats (Generally two), I did spend a month taking care of an elderly dog and a middle-aged cat twice. Usually, I simply visit the pets either daily or every few days for an hour or so, but, whenever I took care of that one elderly dog and middle-aged cat, I spent the month over at their house to make sure they were always taken care of. Since then, I've also taken care of pets for a few others here and there much the same. Every time I get to spend time with these sweeties, I enjoy meeting and befriending them. It is also always enjoyable to record some videos and take some pictures for my own memories and to share with the owners/family. While I have only taken care of cats and dogs as far as traditional pets go, I am very happy to learn how to care for other animals.
Reviews

We are so glad Ian could come sit with our girl today. His care for our dog is so appreciated in her last few days. Ian is always communicative and kind. 100% recommend to anyone needing special care for senior dogs.

I can tell Kiera enjoys the time she spends with Ian because she is calm and happy when we come home :) Ian kept in touch with regular updates.

Ian kept us updated for the 2 weeks he stayed with our dog while we were out of the country. She was happy & healthy when we returned and the home was in good shape. It's hard to leave a pet in new hands, but Ian made us feel comfortable with his communication and comfort around our dog when he came to meet us.

Ian is very friendly and clearly loves animals. He came by for a second meet and greet before our dog's upcoming sitting. He was friendly and took her on a walk to get to know her better. Kiera seemed to like him and he was warm and professional.
