Animal lover, animal-centred, easy going, flexible
I am from a family of animal lovers. I grew up with many animals including dogs, cats, rabbits, rats and parots, many of which were rescues. I have cared for dogs from a puppy to adulthood and understand that all animals require love, care, attentiveness, exercise, stimulation and a healthy diet to be anxiety free and content. I have trained puppies and understand the need for consistency, patience and positive reinforcement. I am experienced in taking care of senior dogs and understand they may need a 'little and often' approach to exercise and additional mental stimulation to maintain their cognitive capacity and quality of life. I love cuddles and affection and I am a confident animal handler. I find that animal company motivates me and I believe they add to my own quality of life. Its not just what I can give them but what they give me. :-)

Honestly amazing with rescue girl Nina! Constant updates through the entire stay I cannot thank these guys enough
We had huw look after our anxious and nervous 1 year old Doberman Milo from our first meeting how was really friendly and was great with Milo he messaged me with lots of updates and actually got Milo to settle which was great considering this was his first time away from us all I highly recommend huw and would definitely use him again👍
How has a natural way with animals. He has a lovely energy about him . He looked after , cared for and got to know Robbie so well . Both Robbie and myself felt at ease , relaxed and comfortable. I would definitely recommend and use Huw again .
Lovely couple. Huw kept us informed with updates throughout Gizmos stay. We would definitely use their sitter service again and I would recommend them to friends and family too. Thank you for having Gizmo.

Schedule
I am currently retraining to be an electrician and attend college 2 days a week. My first year is almost over meaning I have full flexibility over the summer holidays.

Safety, trust & environment
I live in a two bedroomed house with a decent sized garden with plenty of space for animals to roam and run around. I am close by to lots of dog friendly places to walk - we are right on the edge of Birmingham meaning that I am a short walk or drive from places including the Lickey hills, Waseley Hills and many reservoirs. I regularly take care of my in-laws family dog, a 13 year old labrador collie cross and she is very calm and happy here. I can provide a quiet and calm environment as I have no children. My partner is an animal lover too. We are both very attentive people and will ensure your animal is the centre of all of our decisions whilst they are with us and beyond!
A typical day
I love to stimulate dogs physically and mentally. Happy to take the dogs on long and short walks depending on their individual needs. Love to play games with the dogs like fetch or tug of war and enjoy running in the park with them if they enjoy that. Then in down time I enjoy chilling with dogs and have no problem with them having a fuss or hug and I allow the dogs on the sofa or bed im not bothered by dog hair it can always be cleaned up!
