As a stay-at-home dad, my schedule is flexible day or night and pet care is a natural part of our daily rhythm. I’m available on weekdays, evenings, and weekends to care for your pup with the same attention and love I give my own buddy, Gadget. My two daughters are also part of our pet-loving household—they enjoy going on walks and sharing snuggles with our furry visitors. Whether it’s a calm companion or a playful pup, your dog will be part of a warm, active, and caring environment throughout the day.

Safety, trust & environment

I’d like to be mindful of creating a safe, trusting, and interactive environment for your pup in your home. I’d like to think I have a great attention to detail and like to keep things organized and clean just the way you need it.

Information HuongAndBen L. would like to know about your pet

My home is calm, pet-loving, and centered around creating a safe, respectful space for all dogs. I share it with my 12-year-old Cocker Spaniel, Gadget, who’s gentle and friendly—but he can be startled by large or overly energetic dogs. He does great with calm dogs and loves a polite sniff-and-greet, but he’s not a fan of dogs that jump or get in his face. Because of that, I prefer to host dogs that are more mellow, understand personal space, and can coexist peacefully with Gadget. He’s nonchalant about barking and doesn’t mind dogs doing their thing—as long as it’s respectful. My household also includes a gated backyard with both grass and bark, giving your pup plenty of space to explore, sniff, and stretch their legs safely. If your dog is kind, calm, and enjoys a quiet household with walks, cuddles, and good company, they’ll feel right at home here.

A typical day

A typical day with me starts with a peaceful morning walk to get those tails wagging, followed by breakfast and a round of post-meal snuggles. Your pup will get plenty of attention, love, and gentle encouragement throughout the day—whether they’re in the mood to relax or play. In the afternoon, we mix in light indoor play or enrichment games. And if your dog’s feeling extra energetic, we’ll head out for another walk to burn off that excitement. I keep the day balanced with calm downtime, play, and outdoor time tailored to your dog’s energy and comfort level. In the evening, we go for one last walk to wind down the day. After dinner, I help your pup relax with some quiet time and cuddles before settling them into their bed. I always make sure their space is cozy, safe, and familiar—because there’s nothing better than seeing a happy dog stretched out on their back, belly up, dreaming about birds, snacks, and all the fun we had together.

Pet care experience

I’ve been caring for dogs since I was 10, and I don’t just “watch” pets—I build a relationship with them. My own dog, Gadget, is almost 12 years old, and I’ve been his lifelong best friend, snuggle buddy, walker, and groomer. Whether it’s trail hikes, neighborhood strolls, or indoor games like hide-and-seek, I tailor care to what each dog enjoys most. What makes me different is my calm, caring approach. I pay close attention to body language and behavior to respond to a pet’s needs, not just follow a routine. I believe clear communication, trust, and creating a safe environment are essential to happy pets. From house training to meal routines to peaceful walks, I care for every dog like they’re part of my family—because to me, they are.
