Hi there! I’m Hunter, and I’m an experienced pet sitter and dog walker with a lifelong background in animal care, and I’m excited to be offering services here on Rover. I share my home with four dogs and one very spoiled cat, including two Standard Poodles, a Miniature American Shepherd, and a Whippet/Beagle mix—so I’m very comfortable with high-energy, intelligent, and higher-maintenance pets. I grew up on a hobby farm surrounded by animals of all kinds, from small dogs to giant breeds, as well as horses, livestock, birds, and other exotics. I am licensed and insured as a registered pet care business under the name Your Pet Au Pair, which allows me to provide professional, reliable care while prioritizing safety and accountability. I also have experience working alongside animal rescues and assisting with the care and rehabilitation of animals who need a little extra patience and understanding. Animals have been a constant in my life, and I treat every pet in my care as if they were my own. Whether your pet needs calm companionship, structured walks, or attentive in-home care, I’m happy to tailor my approach to what works best for them. Hunter was great with Oliver while we were in the area on vacation, sent us plenty of updates and Oliver came back every night ready for bed! I would highly recommend Hunter!
Hunter was a fantastic choice! My dog had an action packed day of playing with Hunter and his two dogs. Judging by the numerous pictures Hunter sent me throughout the day, and by how tired my dog was after 10 hours with Hunter. I will absolutely get ahold of Hunter if I ever need a doggie daycare again!
Hunter did great with our Chow at his place. No problems. Sent pictures every day. No complaints and reasonably priced. I will definitely leave our pup with him again.
I highly recommend Hunter. He regularly shared photos, activities, and play time of our Mazey. His home and fenced yard is setup for a great doggie vacation experience. We had to unexpectedly extend Mazey's stay and Hunter was very kind in working with us. Mazey came home happy, healthy, and missing her new friends. It was a great experience.
Hunter was absolutely amazing and so helpful. We booked basically last minute and Hunter worked with us and took great care of our dog. He sent many pictures and gave us many updates. He truly is a great caretaker of animals and really cares for all pets! We couldn’t recommend anyone more!

Schedule
Being at home full-time allows me to commit extensive time to your precious pup(s). Whether they crave perpetual snuggling, prolonged fetch sessions, or lengthy walks, I am equipped to fulfill their requirements.

I strongly believe that dogs deserve to be pampered. I can accommodate diverse feeding needs, except for raw feeding. My home provides various indoor and outdoor enrichment opportunities, including agility, automated fetch machines, wading pools, ball pits, snuffle mats, frozen lick mats, puzzle feeders, herding balls, and more. I offer essential provisions like bowls, kennels, and pens in multiple sizes, toys, and treats.

A typical day
My daily routine begins with musical mornings and lively puppy dance parties while I prepare for the day and ready the meals. After breakfast, we indulge in a brief period of relaxation to minimize the risk of bloat. Next, I devote time to brushing the coats of the dogs requiring such attention. Throughout the day, I conduct one-on-one training sessions with each dog, punctuated by periods of playtime in the yard. As the evening draws to a close, I select a calming program and retire to the sofa with the dogs, who sleep and play together. This cycle repeats daily.
