Availability
Pet care fits naturally into my routine because I currently have flexible availability. This allows me to plan my day around each pet’s needs instead of rushing through visits. I’m able to provide consistent morning, midday, and evening care when available, follow your pet’s normal routine closely, and support pets who need meals, potty breaks, walks, check-ins, or medications on a schedule. Because my schedule is flexible, I can also give extra patience and time to pets who are anxious, senior, high-energy, or adjusting to a new person in their space. My goal is to provide care that feels calm, consistent, and dependable for both you and your pet.

Safety, trust & environment
I care for pets in their own home so they can stay in a familiar environment, maintain their normal routine, and feel as comfortable as possible while you’re away. I follow client instructions carefully and tailor care to each pet’s needs. This can include feeding, fresh water, potty breaks, walks, medication administration as directed, enrichment, playtime, comfort time, and maintaining normal household or sleeping routines. I also help with light pet-related tidying, such as cleaning food and water areas, picking up after potty breaks, and keeping pet spaces comfortable. I provide photo updates and visit notes so you know how your pet is doing. Safety and trust are very important to me. I pay close attention to behavior, comfort, appetite, mobility, and routine changes so I can communicate concerns early if something seems off. My goal is to provide care that is calm, safe, consistent, and respectful of both your pet and your home. Transportation note: I currently rely on walking and Uber/Lyft rather than a personal vehicle, so I review distance, timing, and ride availability before accepting bookings. Nearby or reasonable-distance bookings may not need any adjustment. For farther bookings or times when rideshare pricing is unusually high, a travel adjustment may be discussed and included through Rover before the booking is confirmed. You’ll always see and approve the full total upfront.
Information Hunter F. would like to know about your pet
Before care begins, I like to learn as much as I can about your pet so I can provide safe, personalized, and low-stress care. Helpful information includes your pet’s personality, normal behavior, known triggers or fears, feeding and potty routines, medication instructions, leash manners, commands, favorite toys or treats, and anything that helps them feel comfortable. For senior pets or pets with special needs, I also like to know about mobility concerns, medical history that affects daily care, and any signs you want me to watch for. I also ask for veterinary contact information and emergency contacts so I know who to reach if something unexpected comes up. The more I know ahead of time, the better I can tailor care to your pet’s individual needs and keep their routine as familiar and comfortable as possible.
A typical day
Every day is tailored to your pet’s energy level, personality, routine, and comfort zone. I do my best to keep things familiar, positive, and low-stress while still giving them attention, enrichment, and care. Depending on your pet, a typical visit or day may include sniff walks, potty breaks, play sessions, interactive toys, mental enrichment, quiet companionship, comfort time, and gentle brushing if tolerated. For shy or anxious pets, I focus on patience, trust-building, and letting them warm up at their own pace. For high-energy pets, I can provide structured play and activity that matches their needs safely. I always prioritize safe, positive interaction and adjust the visit based on what helps your pet feel comfortable, secure, and cared for.

CVA Care for Calm, Happy Pets
Pet care experience
I’m a Certified Veterinary Assistant (CVA) with 6 years of hands-on animal care experience across veterinary, rescue/shelter, kennel, grooming-support, and pet retail environments. I’m also certified in Animal CPR & First Aid and Human CPR. I’m especially comfortable caring for anxious, shy, senior, sensitive, and special-needs pets. My care style is calm, patient, observant, and individualized to each pet’s personality, comfort level, and normal routine. What sets me apart is my ability to notice small changes early. I pay close attention to stress signals, behavior changes, appetite changes, mobility concerns, discomfort, and anything that seems outside of the pet’s normal pattern. My experience includes oral medication administration, eye and ear medications, senior pet support, behavior observation, enrichment activities, confidence-building, and calm handling for pets that are sensitive, nervous, or easily overstimulated. I follow instructions closely, communicate clearly, and provide dependable updates so owners know how their pets are doing. I do not replace veterinary care or diagnose medical conditions, but I am comfortable documenting concerns and letting owners know when something may need veterinary attention. If your pet needs someone calm, experienced, and attentive — especially if they are anxious, senior, sensitive, or need a little extra patience — I’d be happy to help.

Reviews

Hunter was responsible and very communicative. He was very good with our dog and he did everything we asked him to do while we were gone. There was a small emergency during the stay, and he handled it very well and communicated with us the whole time. He was very professional, and I would gladly have him stay with our dog again in the future.

Hunter was very thorough in his interview and loved on my doggies with care.

It's like God intervened and put you and your friend to help in more ways than one!!!

Hunter did a great job. He was very diligent, starting as soon as we contacted him about looking after our three pets. He did a nice job watching them as well as communicating with us. We would certainly recommend him and we look forward to using him again.
