Pet care experience
Pets help us stay in the moment!
I have been caring for animals my entire life, I've always found an incredible fascination with the way dogs and cats establish respect through their own style of communication. As a toddler I was positively influenced by my best friend being a wolf dog named Kefra. Later on in my childhood I had the privilege of caring for a pitbull named Cookie. A few years ago I was living with a cute pitbull mix for a year, Bear is in my hometown across the state, my cats and I miss him as he helped raise them as kittens. My cat Fry learned to growl when playing tug of war. When he reminds me that he was socialized by a dog I am excited to someday reintegrate a dog into their lives. The occasional roomate having one has been keeping them aware of the different energy levels that a dog can bring to a house. I enjoy hanging out with all types of dog breeds! I find it exciting when a little dog can keep my pace and when I can run through the grass with a larger dog. I love to reward an animal with positive reinforcement that creates an important trust, which aids in a more playful environment.

Safety, trust & environment
Each animal has a different relationship with eachother and there's potential for bonding in any pets housing situation. I've helped people keep anxiety as low as possible during meet and greets so that the animals have a trustworthy first impression of me.

Schedule
I'm not a student but I do plan on taking an art class in the near future. I am currently working at the Horseshoe Cafe downtown. If given enough notice for a dogsit, I can ask for shorter shifts in advance. I prefer less than 3 nights for a dog-sit because longer ones end up affecting my hours at work. My time at home is important as well, but I do a great job balancing my cats and the dogs that I work with. As long as your house isn't too far, I can manage it for up to three nights. Up to a week is fine if I can go home to sleep.
