I have been a volunteer at the Berkeley Animal Care Services animal shelter for 2 years, and absolutely love interacting with the dogs and cats there. I’m a runner who ran cross country and track in high school and I would love to take your dog on a run if you and your dog would like that. I also grew up with pets and currently have a dog and cat at home.

I take safety seriously and have been trained by the Berkeley Animal Care Services animal shelter volunteer program to ensure a safe experience for your dog. On walks or runs my approach is to give other dogs space and never assume they are friendly even though many are.

He was amazing! I found my cats happy and healthy when I came back from my trip.
I had an unexpected time crunch, and I needed someone to walk my dog while I was away from home for 7 hours. Huckleberry was dependable and capable, and my dog clearly enjoyed being with him. Definitely recommend him.
We were so pleased with Huckleberry's care of our twelve year old pittie, Rico. He was very kind, sensitive, and deeply attuned to Rico's needs. Rico bonded with him right away.He also was very timely and responsible, and asked if we had specific house rules that we wanted him to follow. We will definitely ask him to sit for Rico again.
Huck was on time, efficient, and made my dog very happy. Will definitely use him again.
Huck has been gentle and responsible with our pets. He’s patient with silly, energetic dogs (and kittens), as well as accommodating of slow or grumpy pets. I’ve seen him let an elderly dog walk at his own pace, without rushing. And I’ve seen him play with and run with dogs full of energy. Huck has walked our dog occasionally, and more often has been responsible for pet sitting when we’re out of town (two cats, one dog). I’ve also recommended Huck to friends for cat care, dog sitting, and dog walking. So far everyone has given positive feedback! I recommend Huck highly because animals trust him, he’s aware of surroundings and situations, and he’s accommodating of our schedule. Just a very responsible guy!

Schedule
I’m very flexible and able to walk or pet sit when you need me to. I can easily work around your schedule and I’m happy to accommodate what your pet needs. I can do short and long walks, as well as runs, as well as pet sit for any amount of time.
