Hortense agreed to take my dog on short notice, and made herself available at the times that were convenient for me to drop off and pick up my pooch. She sent pictures during the stay and kept me informed of minor mishaps. I felt fully at ease with having my dog with her, and when I picked her up, my dog was relaxed and happy. While she was glad to see me, it was clear ...
My dog sometimes gets nervous in new situations, and then I worry about her. From the moment they met, Hortense was so gentle and so good with my dog that I had no worries leaving her in her care, and my dog seemed entirely happy throughout her stay. I could trust that allwas well, and this gave me great peace of mind.
She cared for our senior dog for a weekend. She was very attentive to the dog's needs and sent several photos and updates. Our dog seemed quite content when we picked her up. I'm glad we had Hortense watch her and would ask her again if we need a dog sitter in the future.
Patient and caring dog lover
I am currently a senior at Cornell University and really miss the four wonderful dogs I left at home -- I have a Britany Spaniel, an English Cocker Spaniel, a Jack Russel and a Dachshund, so I am very used to caring for both lap and high-energy dogs of various sizes. I've been a dog owner for over 14 years, and have prior experience pet-sitting cats and dogs for friends.
