When caring for pets in my home or a client’s home, I prioritize their safety and comfort. I ensure they follow their usual feeding and walking schedule to maintain consistency in their routine. The living area is kept clean and secure, and I make sure to provide plenty of playtime and attention. I also stay attentive to any special dietary or medical needs the pets may have. Communication with pet owners is crucial, so I provide regular updates to keep them informed about their pet’s well-being.

Please let me know if your dog(s)/cat(s) have any triggers, allergies, medications, or anything else that you would like me to know. I always bring water and a bowl for dogs during walks, but feel free to tell me if your pet(s) like/need any treats or toys and I would be happy to accommodate! It would be great to be provided with your pet(s) vaccination and medical paperwork, along with any vet or emergency numbers, especially if I will be with your pet(s) for an extended period. I always bring an animal first aid kit with me, however, my only knowledge is from experience and I am not a professional.
A typical day
I have experience taking care of high-energy dogs and I can endure extended walks, hikes, and jogs. I'm also used to having to play with 3 or more toys at a time if your dog doesn't quite understand the idea of fetch. I grew up with three cats so I'm not afraid of getting scratched/bitten if your cat is playful! I would also love to just give your dog(s)/cat(s) attention and company if that's what they would rather do! I don't mind getting my car a little dirty, so if there is anywhere your pet(s) like/need to go, or if they just enjoy an occasional car ride, that is also something I can provide.

I've been dog-sitting for my neighbors since I was 12, have had a dog since I was 7, and rescued three cats a few years back. I grew up on a rescue farm, so while I have plenty of experience with dogs and cats, I take care of sheep, goats, chickens, horses, donkeys, mules, alpacas, birds, and even fish regularly. Whatever animal needs you have, you can trust me to take care of them. I would love to take your dog(s) on walks, hikes, or to a dog park, or just chill with your dog(s)/cat(s) if that’s more their style! Note: All photos uploaded are from past or current clients. Hope is such an amazing pet sitter and just a lovely person overall!!! I have two gerbils, which is a bit unconventional, but Hope took on the challenge with enthusiasm! She was communicative with me before, during, and after visits, always providing me with updates and asking questions to make sure my boys got the best possible care. It was such a relief to know my babies were well-fed, enriched, and happy while I was away. I will absolutely be using Hope’s services for future trips!!!
We struggled to find a reliable pet caretaker who loves our dog as much as we do…well, until we met Hope! It was immediately apparent that Hope has a real love for animals. She exceeded our expectations, she is extremely dependable, trustworthy organized and an approachable person to whom also accommodated us with our changing schedule. Hope goes above and beyond her duties as a caretaker. We loved the open line of communication and the wonderful daily photos of our boy. We were able to enjoy our vacation without the worry that our pet is properly cared for.
Hope was great and our dog Ruby really enjoy ed their time together. 10/10 would book again.
She is very nice and communicative. Took great care of my dog and was flexible. I would definitely have her walk ny dog again!
