With a lifelong devotion to animals, I've been nursing pets since the age of 13, caring for dogs, cats, and even small rodents. Beyond my own pets, neighbours, friends, and family trust me to provide steadfast care for their furry loved ones. What uniquely sets me apart, in addition to my ability to connect with animals on a deep level, is that as someone with a hearing impairment, I can hear general and emergency sounds, keeping both myself and the pets safe. While I may have trouble communicating verbally, I resolve issues effectively through text and messages, using these methods to keep in contact with clients. This distinction ensures I remain exceptionally attentive, capable of safeguarding pets, and providing them with the love they de serve. My goal is to ensure every pet feels cherished and secure throughout our time together, as I understand their needs and strive to make them comfortable and loved under my care.

The safety and well-being of pets are my top priorities. When caring for pets in my home, I maintain a clean and pet-friendly environment, complete with designated play areas and comfortable spaces for relaxation. I ensure that all necessary safety measures are in place to prevent any potential hazards. For in-home pet care at the client's location, I always respect the pet owner's home and follow any specific instructions they provide regarding the care of their beloved companions. I build trust with the pets through patience, kindness, and consistent care, always striving to create a loving and stress-free environment. Additionally, I am open to discussing any specific needs or concerns pet owners may have to customise the care experience for each individual pet.

My boys love Hong! He has a gentle, kind, and knowledgeable presence that my cat and large dog enjoy. He looked after the boys overnight and they really enjoyed him. Hong asks good questions, gets clarity about expectations and instructions, and communicates very proactively. I appreciate the updates and the comfort of knowing my precious boys are in the hands of someone they and my husband and I trust. We'll continue to keep our relationship with Hong ongoing. We 100% recommend Hong. We are so grateful to have had Hong as our pet/house sitter for our dog and cat. Our dog is a senior and experiences separation anxiety when we are away - often going on a hunger strike for a few days. With Hong, our dog was eating out of his hand before we even left for the airport! Hong did have an extra burden because of a short heat wave while we were away but he did a great job of keeping our pets cool and happy. My patio garden has also flourished under his care! We came home to content, happy pets and honestly I can tell they miss him! He provided really excellent, thorough and regular updates and photos/videos. He was also kind enough to regularly ensure us we did not need to worry and that all was going smoothly. He left the house in the same condition as we left it. Well actually better: he and his wife are artists and he gifted us with both high res digital photos of our fur babies and hand drawn fridge magnets!
Hong was amazing. Our doggo typically gets sad when we leave and even goes on hunger strikes for a couple of days. With Hong, he ate all his meals and on the videos I even saw tail wags and not the typical behavior. Hong was so good about sending regular updates with pics and videos that really put my mind at ease. Will definitely be using Hong again.
Hong and his wife will be the only people I leave Bella with when I travel. I think she’s happier staying with them than she is being at home! Quite seriously cannot recommend Hong enough. This is my second time leaving my fur baby with him and have nothing but positive things to say.
Hong Yu was willing to take our dog who has a number of mobility issues. He followed all the feeding directions to a tee, and provided his medication, gave us wonderful updates, photos and videos each day, and even provided some grooming. When we dropped our dog off we noticed that Hong Yu had taken special care to prepare his floors to have more traction for our dog, and then he provided tips and suggestions about what worked better with his feeding. The best thing we can say is that we were worried about how our dog would feel about having to leave and come home with us. We think of Hong Yu as the "dog whisperer".
Hong Yu did a great job of looking after Chip and Ellie during our 3-day holiday (that turned into 4 days after a weather delay). He kept us well informed and we got home to two very laid-back dogs. We will be using him again in future.

With a flexible schedule, I can accommodate various timeframes, including early mornings, afternoons, and evenings, ensuring that each pet receives the love and attention they need during our sessions. From daily walks and playtime to feeding and medication, I am dedicated to making every pet feel content and secure while capturing their precious moments through photography. Exercise requirements: The level of daily activity they are accustomed to and their favorite types of play. House-training status: Whether they are house-trained or need any additional guidance. Contact information: The owner's contact details and emergency contact in case of any unforeseen situations. Favorite toys/treats: Knowing their preferences can help create a comfortable and enjoyable experience. Having this information beforehand allows me to tailor my approach to each dog's/cat's individual needs, ensuring they have a happy and stress-free time under my care.
