Hey, all! I moved to San Diego the summer of 2025. I love caring for animals and building a community for myself and felt inspired to try and start a small pet care business. Being separated from our pets can give us as much separation anxiety as it can them and I do my best to keep pet owners updated and reassured, as well as the pets loved on with plenty of playtime activities, exercise, and cuddles. If boarding in my home, your pet will have their own room that gets deep cleaned and reset after each stay. The room is used for feedings, sleeping, decompressing one on one, and if I ever have to leave the home. I also have a siesta hour at 2pm every day to keep everyone's energy levels baseline. We keep all feedings separate to prevent any food aggression and other dogs invading space while another is eating. Boarders are always fed in their room. Any treats and toys you bring will be kept in the closet of your pet's room and will only be brought out when they're in their room sleeping or when I put them away to leave the home. No treats or toys are ever mixed. Just used for when I spend one on one time with your pet :) We have lovely trails in our neighborhood, and we do a daily morning and evening walk. Our backyard is fully enclosed and has plenty of space for your pet to lay out or get exercise. We have a nice patio and a couple of shade trees for days when it's hot, but we still want to get our outside time. If your dog loves to fetch, we will happily let that be a one-on-one activity so no other dogs will compete for the ball. *I do ask owners to provide a crate if their pet is known to have anxiety and/or any destructive behaviors when being left alone; chewing, scratching, having accidents in the home* Boarders have less anxiety and adjust smoothly when they have their own things here. Please, provide them a bed and their own bowls. I have extra supplies, but when pets are boarding, they love to have their safe space that is just theirs when in a new place and they need that sense of familiarity of their own scent of home. Please, provide anything and everything your pet is used to using daily or having at home; Bed, bowls, etc. We have the space for it and it's easier on your pet and me when they are feeling as secure and comfortable as possible. When caring for multiple dogs, I take dogs on a walk to feel out their temperament and socialization. If they get along great, they do playtime together, if not, I cycle out playtimes/walks/rest times so everyone still has a fun and stimulating day while always putting safety first. I love to be extra and do theme party days if boarding falls on a holiday 😃 My husband and I genuinely enjoy taking care of animals and find the experience so rewarding, when we're able to make pets and families feel safe and secure while being separated.
