Safe, fun, forest ready!
I own a 7 acre property that is a short drive up Fickle Hill Rd in Arcata! It includes a private trail with access to the community forest and a very large fenced in yard. I have a 1 year old female German Shepherd (Sabine) who is very well trained and LOVES to play with other dogs. I’ve been working with animals my entire life but started officially dog sitting and walking about 10 years ago! I’ve worked with dogs of all sizes and personalities and feel comfortable and confident in my care abilities. Locally I have done in home care both long term and short term. Now that I have this large property I would like to do more of a doggy day care! I am capable of providing training, grooming, as well as daily exercise and enrichment activities!

Schedule
I am free Monday - Thursday every week as I work from home as a ceramic artist. On the weekends (Friday - Sunday) I work as a waitress.

I offer care from my home where I have a very large fenced in yard with plenty of space to run around and enjoy the outdoors. As well as a large dog friendly home for those rainy days. All plants and trees on the property are dog safe! I also have a private trail that is connected to the community forest trails where I take Sabine (my dog) for daily walks. Sabine also loves the beach so we do take weekly trips out to the dunes in Samoa! I’m a dog lover and feel that I am very attuned to understanding the way they communicate. Your dog will look forward to playing around the property and spending time in the forest with Sabine and I!

A typical day
Mental and physical stimulation are equally important. A typical day would involve some sort of enrichment activity like hiding treats either in the yard or in a toy. It would also involve physical activity like playing with other dogs or a hike in the community forest (we also love to go to the beach!)
