We have years of experience caring for dogs, and we truly enjoy welcoming them into our daily lives. Guest dogs relax with us in our home, receive plenty of affection and attention, enjoy walks and outdoor time, and become part of our family while they are here. Our goal is for every dog in our care to feel safe, comfortable, and genuinely at home—and for their people to enjoy their time away knowing their dog is being loved. We provide home-based, shared boarding and may welcome dogs from more than one family at a time. We are not a kennel with separate runs, and we do not provide exclusive or isolation-based care. Because guest dogs share our home and daily routines, we can accept only dogs who are reliably house-trained and safe, relaxed, and comfortable around unfamiliar dogs. Dogs who lunge, fixate, become highly reactive, require complete separation, guard people or spaces, or need to be the only dog in the home will be much happier and safer with a sitter who provides exclusive care. Dogs with a history of indoor marking are also not a good fit for our home. You know your dog better than anyone, and we depend on you to advocate for them honestly. Please share the complete picture—not only who your dog is at home with familiar people and animals, but how they respond to unfamiliar dogs in a shared indoor environment. A meet and greet is valuable, but it is only a brief visit and cannot reveal every behavior. If your dog has ever lunged at, fixated on, attempted to reach, fought with, or been unable to settle around another dog, please tell us before booking. Descriptions such as “a little anxious,” “not great with other dogs,” or “just a puller” may not provide enough information for us to make a safe decision. Honest disclosure is never about judging a dog. It allows us to determine whether our home is the right environment for them. Some wonderful, affectionate dogs simply need to be the only dog in their sitter’s home—and respecting that need is an important part of loving and protecting them. My first question will always be: “I provide shared home boarding and may care for dogs from more than one family at a time. Is your dog safe and genuinely comfortable sharing indoor and outdoor space with unfamiliar dogs?” Please answer based on your dog’s actual history rather than what you hope they may be able to manage.
