I follow your guidance, you know your dog best as well the routine your dog(s) know. Whilst I’m in your home I will treat it with absolute respect and always leave it as I find it. I know many owners myself included love to receive frequent updates and photos which I am always happy to provide. If your preference is different I will also respect this and meet your expectations. In the future I hope to open up my own home also.
Information Holly G. would like to know about your pet
Please let me know ahead of time if your dog has any of the following: behavioural issues, a medical condition or special needs, allergies, unusual behaviours, pulls on the lead, excessive barking etc. I highly recommend meeting before I sit your dog for the first time. If you have a particularly nervous dog and would like more than one introduction meet I am happy to accommodate this. Please note none of the above is likely to deter me from taking care of your dog. It ensures I am the right choice for your dog and I am fully prepared.
A typical day
I love going on dog walks but I understand from experience that all dogs can react differently to the world around them and will always follow your lead. I love to play with your pup(s) in the house, garden etc. Like many dogs I’m also partial to an afternoon nap! It’s important to remember that our dogs need rest too. My own dogs love enrichment and I highly recommend it for high energy dogs this could look like hiding treats for sniffing, enrichment games, kongs, snuffle mats and lickimats. Some dogs also love their alone time so I’m always happy to chill until they’re ready to play again!

Pet care experience
I strongly believe in allowing dogs to come to you. As adorable and squishy as they can be it’s important they trust you and we don’t force ourselves on them. I’ve had dogs since I was a child, I’ve frequently taken care of family and friends pets also - some for long periods of time. In the last 5 years I’ve also had my own dogs with my husband from our beautiful Cavachon🌈 to our now two crazy 3 year olds one a chocolate Labrador and the other a German Shepherd. I am well acquainted with behavioural issues as well as dogs with high anxiety and trauma. Our Cavachon was adopted and had a lot of trauma based anxiety leading to biting. Our German Shepherd is a rescue who didn’t have a great start in life and she’s a very nervous dog (far less nervous now though!), I also have experience with puppies as our Labrador we’ve had from 8 weeks old, she’s a menace! I also have experience with: - Behavioural Issues - Separation anxiety - Giving oral medication - Applying topical medication - RAW feeding - Daily health routines (teeth brushing, ear cleaning, bathing and brushing) - Older dogs - Small and large breeds It’s important dogs feel comfortable and I will follow any routine your dog is used to at your request. I’m also happy to be provided with a list of training commands your dog uses to ensure I am reinforcing the correct words and behaviour. I drive and always have dog seat belts available. In case of emergency I would be able to take your pet to a vet’s. If pre booked by you I am also happy to take your dog to a secure field if you’d prefer them to have more freedom. *I have a disability and can use a variety of mobility aids depending on the day. Please let me know if mobility aids can be triggering for your pup. I can also work in homes that aren’t accessible (just ask if you have any concerns).

Reviews

Holly was fantastic with my 12yr old cocker spaniel Mabel. She came to meet her first, fully reassured Mabel would be having great care whilst I was away. Holly is reliable and trustworthy and clearly absolutely loves dogs. I came home to a spotless house, left it clean and tidy. Would highly recommend.

Holly is an exceptionally caring and knowledgeable dog walker, we are very lucky to have connected with her and have her carry for Meg!
I can definitely recommend Holly as a pet sitter. Both of my very busy dogs were well looked after and happy when I was away , moreover due to my flight being massively delayed Holly offered to come back to check on them outside of agreed time . We have another stay already booked .
Holly has cared for my dog Missy multiple times before! I haven't ever had any issues and always updates me with photos of her getting fussed, fed, and loved. 100% recommend Holly to look after your furbabies. 🐶🐾
