Calm, one-to-one pet care
I have hands-on experience caring for dogs through private pet sitting and volunteering with Dogs Trust as a canine carer. I've cared for dogs through walks, home visits and overnight stays, including pets requiring daily medication and additional support. Alongside my practical experience, I've completed training in canine behaviour and welfare, giving me a good understanding of body language, individual needs and the importance of helping dogs feel safe and comfortable. I provide calm, personalised care and only walk dogs from one household at a time, so I can adapt each visit to the individual dog(s) rather than expecting every pet to follow the same routine. I'm happy caring for puppies, senior dogs, dogs requiring medication and reactive dogs where a safe management plan is already in place. Every dog has their own personality, routines and quirks, and I take the time to understand what helps them feel settled and secure. Whether that means a good sniffy walk, play and enrichment, medication, a quiet cuddle or simply some company, I'll follow their lead and keep you updated along the way!

Safety, trust & environment
I understand how much trust is involved in asking someone to care for your pet and enter your home. I follow each pet’s normal routine as closely as possible and take time to understand their personality, triggers, preferences and any medical or behavioural needs. I care for one household at a time and use a calm, reward-based approach. Dogs remain on a lead or appropriate long line during normal walks, with off-lead exercise only in a secure enclosed area where agreed. I will never force a distressed or reluctant dog to continue a walk and will adapt the visit with play, enrichment, toilet time or companionship where needed. I also respect clients’ homes carefully, follow all access and security instructions, and provide a short written update and at least one photo after each walk or visit.

Holly was fantastic with our dog. She was calm, reliable and really attentive to his individual needs, and we loved receiving regular photo updates while we were away. She also kindly helped feed and care for our guinea pig, which was really appreciated. The house was left exactly as we found it, and we wouldn’t hesitate to book Holly again.
Holly has looked after my dogs (cocker and dachshund) a number of occassions and I won't use anyone else. She truly adores dogs and dogs know it! She asked a lot of questions on our first meet & greet and my dogs have been happy in her care since. It's such a relief to have a home & dog sitter you can trust. If you want it she updates you with photos,videos and little notes about their day. Not everyone wants this but it gave me great peace of mind. Highly recommend.
Holly has looked after our dog Ralph a few times, and I couldn’t recommend her highly enough. She’s incredibly patient, kind and caring, and clearly has a natural way with dogs. Ralph has an eye condition that requires additional care and daily medication, and Holly has always managed this brilliantly. I feel completely confident leaving Ralph in her care and, most importantly, he’s always very happy and comfortable with her!

Schedule
I offer flexible care within morning, afternoon and selected evening windows, which works well for regular walks, puppy visits, senior pets and animals who need care spaced throughout the day. I’m happy to provide both recurring weekly care and occasional bookings, and I always allow enough time between visits so each pet receives my full attention rather than feeling rushed. Where medication, puppy toilet breaks or another routine requires more precise timing, I'm happy to discuss this individually at our meet-and-greet.

- Before caring for your pet, I like to understand their normal routine, personality and any individual needs so I can make the experience as comfortable and safe as possible. Please let me know about feeding, medication, allergies, medical conditions, walking habits, recall, reactions to other dogs or people, fears, triggers, guarding behaviour, escape tendencies and anything they particularly enjoy or dislike. I’m happy to care for reactive dogs where there is a clear management plan in place, but I do need to know about any history of biting or human-directed aggression before accepting a booking. A meet-and-greet at your home gives us the chance to go through all of this properly and allows your pet to meet me in their own familiar environment.
