I've adored animals my entire life and animal welfare is my #1 cause. I've had the privilege of raising 3 cats and 1 dog over the course of 25+ years. My cats were all rescues and were strictly indoor cats. I raised my dog from the time she was a puppy. She attended classes, so I am familiar with training techniques and have many games to play for both young and old. For a couple of years my dog and I also lived in a house with 3 other dogs. Being in the country at the time, we would sometimes dog sit and have up to 6 in the house/yard at once... my idea of heaven!!! I recently lost my girl to cancer and am not yet ready for a new fur-baby. However, I do miss the company and find great joy whenever surrounded by other dogs and cats. UPDATE (Feb/25)... When my Rori passed in October 2024, I was heartbroken. After a couple months of heavy grieving, I found Rover and have been smiling ever since! In a matter of 2 months I've met so many fur babies and already have many more lined up. Most have extended stays so there's rarely been a day that I haven't had at least one with me. Here I thought I would take a break from winter walks, lol! Instead whenever I hear the Rover notification on my phone, I can't wait to see who I'll meet next. I never knew this much joy was possible and I think this is my true calling. I still miss my Rori and tear up often. But just like when I found her in my darkest hour, I think she is still taking care of me and led me to this journey on Rover. Every pet I've met since has filled their own personal space in my broken heart. I never like to see them leave, but the joy of watching them reunite with their parents is so worth it because I know just how hard it is to be apart. In my short time of doing this, I've quickly learned my priorities: #1 - I promise to do my best to keep your loved one safe and cared for just as you would. #2 - I want your pet to enjoy the experience! This is not just a place to stay and be fed. Rather, it is a mini-vacation for them as well where, even though they will be missing you, they will have lots of fun, and feel the love ♥ I'm so grateful to those of you that entrust me with their care ♥♥♥

Hollie was amazing with Niska and left us daily updates. She was so kind and accommodating. We really appreciate all the things she did to make her feel at home.
We had the absolute best experience with Hollie! She cared for our dogs for an entire week and went above and beyond in every possible way. Before our trip, she even scheduled several mini visits (at no extra charge!) just to make sure our dogs felt comfortable and familiar with her. That meant so much to us and made the transition completely stress-free. It’s clear she has a genuine love and compassion for dogs. She treated ours like they were her own — with patience, kindness, and so much affection. We received updates, photos, and could truly relax knowing they were in such caring hands. If you’re looking for someone trustworthy, dependable, and truly amazing with animals, she is the one. We can’t recommend her highly enough! 🐾💛
Murphy (and me) are so lucky to have Hollie. I can relax and not worry about him because I know he is not only taken care of but loved and having the best time.
If you are looking for a sitter who will love your pup as much as you do, Holly is the one! I left Macky with her for a week and I was blown away by her care. She treated him exactly like her own dog—he got so many cuddles and so much affection. It was the first time I've used her, but it certainly won't be the last. I’ve found my forever sitter!
Hollie was amazing with Jasper! We loved the report card she wrote — it was so thoughtful and fun to read. She even sent him home with a little toy pig, which he absolutely loves. Jasper had a great time, and we’d be happy to have him daycare with Hollie again. Highly recommend!

Schedule
I am available all day on weekends. I am also available Monday thru Friday, when I work from home from 8am to 5pm, so your fur-baby will have plenty of companionship. Most of my workday is spent in my home office, where they are welcome to join me if they so choose. I can do walks over lunch and in the evening. I don't charge for walks, but will admit that they may depend on weather. I am close to Riverside Park and Linear Trail. We will absolutely discuss your requirements in advance. My fenced in yard is available to your fur-baby 24/7 and if you prefer this time to be supervised, I'm happy to do so around my work schedule.

Safety, trust & environment
GENERAL - There are no other animals living here. - There are no children living here. - I will only take animals from one household at a time to ensure safety. - I will be with your fur-baby for most of the time, however depending on length of their stay, I may go out for short periods of time for errands, appointments, events, etc. This will all be discussed with you in advance. If you allow it, your fur-baby is welcome to join me in my car and at venues that permit animals. Again, this will only be done with your permission. CATS - Willing to watch multiple from the same household. - Will remain secure indoors only. - They are welcome all over the house, including on furniture. Pet steps are available for couch and bed. - Must be litter trained. - One litter box is provided here that will always be cleaned and topped up (though you are welcome to bring your own if you prefer). - The basement has cat doors so they can have their own space for food/drink/privacy if they choose. - Cat bed and toys are available here for comfort and entertainment. - Cat-nip and treats are also available but will only be given with your permission. DOGS - Willing to watch up to 2 from the same household. - Fenced in yard available 24/7. - They are welcome all over the house, including on furniture. Pet steps are available for couch and bed. - Potty trained is preferred but not a requirement and I am happy to help train puppies (with encouragement and praise... never discipline), or care for elderly. - I do have a medium sized dog crate in storage which I don't intend to use, but it is available only if you prefer crate training. - 2 pet ramps available for vehicle and or stairs. - Dog beds and toys are available here for comfort and entertainment. Lots of training games! - Treats are also available but will only be given with your permission.
A typical day
Each day will include lots of snuggles and pets (if that's what they like). Plenty of games for both training and fun. Walks when weather permits.
