I work primarily from home, so guest dogs enjoy plenty of company throughout the day rather than being left alone for long periods. Their day includes regular toilet breaks, playtime in the garden, enrichment activities and a daily walk, all while following their usual home routine as closely as possible. Every dog has a different personality and routine, so I always take the time to get to know them before their stay. Whether your dog loves playing, enjoys relaxing in the garden or simply wants someone nearby while they nap, I adapt my care to suit their individual needs.

Your pet's safety and wellbeing are always my top priority. I provide a calm, structured and loving home environment where every dog receives plenty of individual attention. I only accept one booking at a time (unless dogs are from the same household), allowing me to focus on your pet's individual needs and routine. As I work full-time from home, your dog will have company throughout the day and will never be left alone for longer than three hours. I keep to their usual feeding schedule, provide regular toilet breaks, a daily walk, supervised playtime in our secure garden and plenty of enrichment throughout the day. Our home has a fully fenced and secure private garden, and guest dogs stay on the ground floor together with my own friendly young dog. My two cats have their own dedicated room upstairs, giving both dogs and cats their own comfortable spaces. For everyone's safety and comfort, I currently only accept fully vaccinated, crate-trained dogs. Guest dogs sleep downstairs in their own crate overnight, helping them maintain a familiar bedtime routine in a new environment. Before every boarding booking, I arrange a meet-and-greet so we can ensure we're a good fit and that your dog feels comfortable with both my home and my own dog. Throughout every stay, I'll keep you updated with regular photos and videos so you can enjoy your time away knowing your pet is happy and well cared for.

Before confirming a booking, I'd love to learn more about your dog so I can make sure we're a great match. Please let me know about your dog's personality, daily routine, exercise needs, any medical conditions, allergies or medications, and whether there are any behaviours I should be aware of. For the safety and comfort of everyone in my home, I currently only accept dogs that: Are fully vaccinated? Are crate trained and comfortable sleeping independently overnight? Are friendly with other dogs? (Because I have a lovely Sheltie) I also ask that owners bring enough food for the stay and let me know about any favourite toys, treats or comfort items that will help your dog settle in. To ensure every stay starts on the right paw, I always arrange a meet-and-greet before confirming a boarding booking.
A typical day
Every dog is different, so I tailor the day to suit their personality and energy level. A typical day includes a morning walk, regular toilet breaks, supervised playtime in the garden, enrichment activities, plenty of rest and lots of cuddles. I also enjoy incorporating positive reinforcement into everyday activities. Rather than formal training sessions, I like to reinforce good manners and everyday life skills, such as waiting patiently, settling calmly, responding to their name and making good choices around the home. These simple exercises help build confidence and self-control while keeping learning fun and rewarding. Throughout the day, I provide plenty of mental stimulation through games, sniffing activities and interactive play, followed by quiet time to help dogs relax and recharge. My goal is for every dog to feel safe, happy and at home during their stay. One thing I particularly enjoy is helping dogs practise patience and calmness through everyday routines, such as waiting before meals, sitting politely before going through doors or settling quietly on their bed. These are valuable life skills that many owners continue to use at home.

I share my home with one friendly young dog and two cats, and over the past few years I've cared for dogs and cats for friends, neighbours and Pawshake clients. Living with both dogs and cats has helped me understand different personalities and body language, allowing me to provide calm, patient and personalised care. My motivation to become a pet sitter comes from a genuine love for animals and a desire to provide them with a safe, comfortable home while their owners are away. To ensure every dog receives plenty of love, attention and a calm environment, I only accept one booking at a time (unless the dogs are from the same household). This allows me to tailor each stay to your dog's individual routine and personality, so they receive the attention they deserve. I always try to keep your dog's routine as close to home as possible, including feeding times, exercise and sleeping arrangements, helping them settle into a new environment with minimal stress. ❤️ Our Home We live in a spacious house with a fully fenced and secure private garden, giving dogs plenty of space to explore, play and relax safely. Our home is shared with one friendly young dog and two cats. To ensure everyone is comfortable, guest dogs stay on the ground floor together with our dog, while our cats have their own dedicated room upstairs. This setup allows everyone to have their own space while keeping the environment calm and safe. Guest dogs sleep downstairs in their own crate overnight. To help maintain a familiar routine and ensure every dog's safety and comfort, I currently only accept dogs that are crate trained and comfortable sleeping independently overnight. You're welcome to bring your dog's own crate and bedding to help them feel even more at home, or I can provide a crate if needed. Before confirming any boarding booking, I always arrange a meet-and-greet. This gives us the opportunity to make sure your dog feels comfortable in our home and gets along well with my own dog, helping set everyone up for a happy and stress-free stay.
