I have been a SAHM (stay at home mom) for almost 12 years. You can guarantee that between myself and my five children, your dog(s) will experience a lot of love and affection while you’re away! We love taking dogs for walks up and down our quiet street. My seven year old especially loves every time they go number two because that means he can use one of those doggie poo bags to pick it up. For some reason he thinks it’s the coolest thing. I hope he continues to feel that way for a very long time.

I do not have a fenced in back yard, BUT it’s plenty big, and we enjoy showing and walking dogs all around our back yard (all while on a leash of course- unless you specify otherwise!) We also have plenty of spots in our home to set up crate(s) if needed. We look forward to caring for your sweet dog(s)!

Information Hillary C. would like to know about your pet
Dogs must be flea free, on a flea/tick regimen, and up to date with vaccines. At this time I cannot board in my home: dogs with severe separation anxiety, dogs that are reactive to men and children, dogs that excessively bark, dogs showing obvious signs of cognitive decline (including sundowning), and dogs who have never been boarded in any type of facility before. With our crazy yet mostly fun schedule of managing a home and five kids, I cannot for everyone’s sanity (including the dog(s), take on dogs that would have a hard time being in a new environment. If you feel your dog(s) are one (or more) of these traits listed above, then I kindly ask that you either find another sitter better equipped to provide the best experience for them, or look into scheduling drop in visit(s) with me. I have found that dogs displaying these types of behaviors do best when left in the comfort of their home environment. I will happily assist you and your dog(s) with drop in visit(s) per your request. Lastly, as stated on my profile page, I only care for one client household at a time. My boarding prices reflect this, therefore you can rest assure that your dog(s) will be the ONLY ONES during their entire stay, which means all the love and attention will go directly to them! On the rare occasion where there could be minimal overlap (less than 24 hours) for whatever reasons: owners change of plans and needing to extend, the time you reached out and if someone did at the same time too etc- I will inform all parties involved to make sure everyone is ok with a minimal overlap (less than 24 hours). Thank you, and we look forward to caring and loving on your fur babies!
A typical day
Between my five kids and I, your dog(s) will experience plenty of stimulation and love! You can expect them to receive plenty of walks and even a special visit to see our backyard chickens, courtesy of my boys! We currently have 12 hens and every dog so far has gotten a kick out of seeing them. They’re pretty fun to watch!

Pet care experience
Looking back on my childhood, it felt like a zoo (but in the most magical way). I sometimes can’t believe that my parents allowed guinea pigs, rats, mice, fish, hermit crabs, rabbits, and dogs into our home (not all at once though!). If I could do it again, I think I would have skipped out on the mice. I don’t recommend having mice with 24/7 access to an exercise wheel right next to your bed. Nighttime was fun. My kids (ages 4-12) and I are excited to take care of your dog(s)! Thank you for considering us!

Reviews

Hillary is great! We are very thankful we found her. She communicated in an effective and timely manner. She provided great photos and feedback about our cats. Our cats were very happy, content, and calm when we returned; a credit to Hillary. We will definitely use her in the future. Absolutely book with Hillary!

So glad we found Hillary and her family! It was so easy to enjoy our son’s graduation weekend, knowing our aging Golden was in good hands. He was loved on, exercised, and made part of the family while he was there ❤️

Hillary is our go-to person to ask for to watch our dogs. They enjoy seeing her and she provides great updates on how they are doing while we are away.

Hilary was amazing during her daily drop-ins with our dogs. She communicated so well, gave us great peace of mind, and made it easy to trust that our dogs were in great hands. Our dogs absolutely loved her and her kids, and it was clear they were getting lots of love and attention while we were away. It was such a relief knowing Hilary would be there during the day, so we never had to worry. We would absolutely book with her again and highly recommend her to anyone looking for a caring, dependable sitter.
