I am a special education teacher. This means for school days I leave for work around 7am and am off around 4pm. My flexible availability is only on weekends. I’m happy to do an early early morning walk or drop in before school and afternoon/evening care. If you need overnight care I will commit my full weekend to your animal, but during school days I have my teaching obligations.

Although I can’t care for pets in my own home while in the owner/pets home I operate with total respect and care. I am a non-smoker and a background of nannying for families and cleaning homes. I am comfortable being in a variety of home environments. Please note—I have scent sensitivities that trigger migraines so I ask for any “plug-ins” or sprays not be in use while I am in your home.

Most of my experience has been with larger breeds, but that has been circumstantial not preferential. Before I spend time with a dog, I like to know any personality traits that may be of importance--both of the dog and their preference/experience to human temperament. I'd also like to know your habits with your buddy so that I may keep routine and structure while you're away.

Your pooch can enjoy nice long—and safe walks with me. If you don't live in an area conducive to nature--we may hop in the car and go to a nearby spot. I love getting down on all fours and cuddling/playing with my dog friends. Also, when I'm around a pup, I'll be talking to them constantly filling them in on my thoughts of our surroundings, activities and minute to minute adventures. We're bound to have a great time!

I started dog sitting via nannying for families. Then, I began to dog sit without kiddos. I have a history and experience with individual dogs up to a canine family of five. It doesn't matter the breed, size or age...I adore pups. Rover sitting is especially special to me since husband is allergic to most dander. I love my time with these doggie friends, not being a dog parent myself--it's my time to share the love. I listen to dogs communication and respond accordingly, respectfully and when needed authoritatively. Note: I know what it’s like to trust a home and a loved one (your pet) with someone. I take this job with a big heart and tons of earnest. (I also have experience with cats, chickens, horses, llamas, pigs, goats, and fish!)

2nd time having Hillary as our sitter and she always takes amazing care of our fur babies and keeps in great communication!!
Hillary was awesome! She sent daily updates and photos. It was so helpful knowing she was taking such great care of my dog!
My husband and I were very nervous about having a stranger watch our babies. Hillary was very understanding and she kept us informed throughout her entire stay. We have 2 older dogs that required extra attention, she gave them their medications, monitored their eating and kept us up to date on their status. Hillary went above and beyond, she washed the dishes and the sheets in the room she stayed in. We would definitely hire her again.
