Pet care experience
Lover of all things furry
I have always loved spending time with animals, from a young age I did anything and everything to be surrounded by dogs. My neighbors were always asking me to dog sit or walk their dogs. These dogs ranged from Great Danes to Pomeranian. When I was 10, our family got a Siba Inu puppy, Saki, and she taught me a lot about living with a dog and how to train a young puppy. I have experience with puppies all the way to elderly pets, and I love them all equally! I cannot wait to adopt a dog of my own, but for now I just love being in the company of other people's pets and providing them the same love they feel when they are home! There is nothing more special than coming home to a furry friend.
Qualifications
Safety, trust & environment
I provide attentive, reliable care tailored to each pet’s needs and routine. In a client’s home, I make sure to follow all instructions closely to maintain consistency, including feeding schedules, walks, medication, and any special care requirements. I prioritize keeping pets comfortable in their familiar environment while giving them plenty of attention, exercise, and affection. I’m very respectful of the home and treat it with care, ensuring everything is clean, secure, and as I found it. My goal is always to make pets feel safe, relaxed, and well cared for while their owners are away.
Ratings and reviews
What an absolute gem Hilary is! She stayed in our home with our elderly dog, Islay, for 12 days, including several days of a July heat wave. She provided empathetic, thoughtful care throughout, creatively problem-solved to help Islay get comfortable in the heat, administered daily meds (plus some extras to help keep Islay calm during July 4th fireworks), sent regular updates and photos, and stayed attuned to Islay’s signals and needs. We are very thankful to have found Hilary for our trip to visit family abroad, and we came home to a happy, healthy, and relaxed girl, plus a very tidy house (not necessary but always appreciated). Thank you so much, Hilary! Islay misses you already.

Hilary did a great job caring for Zoe while I was out of town. Good communication and she spent the time to come and do a meet & greet to get to know Zoe & her needs beforehand. Recommended.

Hilary did a great job watching Romeo and I would use her again as a dogsitter! She sent photos and updates to let me know how he was doing and he seemed very comfortable with her.

Hilary is a trustworthy dogsitter who will treat your pet with love and care. She has watched Romeo for me on many different occasions, including staying at my house for two weeks while I was in Japan. I feel very comfortable knowing my dog is well-taken care of and safe in her hands. Romeo, and all other dogs, love Hilary and she instantly bonds with them.
Hilary has been discussing her love of dogs and how much she wants one as soon as she is ready to own one. In the workplace, she is responsible, compassionate, and goes above and beyond for her patients and staff. She would make an amazing dog sitter.

Schedule
Because I work remotely, I have a flexible schedule that allows me to easily incorporate pet care throughout my day. I can provide regular walks, potty breaks, and playtime in the morning, midday, and evening, while being home to give consistent attention and monitor pets between commitments. I plan my work around a pet’s needs, making it easy to provide reliable, attentive care—especially for puppies or senior dogs who may need extra support.

- It’s important for me to know any key details about a pet ahead of time so I can provide the best possible care. This includes their daily routine, feeding schedule, any medical needs or medications, behavioral tendencies, triggers, and how they interact with other dogs or people. I also like to know their energy level, favorite activities, and any comfort items or habits that help them feel secure. The more I understand about each pet’s personality and needs, the more I can ensure they feel safe, happy, and well cared for while their owner is away.
