I’m a former zookeeper with a real passion for giving animals the best possible care. I’ve been lucky enough to work with a huge range of species — from domestic pets to animals like bears, lynx and wolverines — so I’m very confident reading behaviour and understanding what each individual animal needs. I know every pet is different, and I always take the time to get to know their personality. Whether your dog is full of energy and loves an active walk, or a bit more nervous and needs a calm, gentle approach, I’m happy to adapt and make sure they feel safe and comfortable. I also have experience caring for geriatric animals and those with additional needs, including giving a wide range of medications. I understand how important it is to trust someone with this level of care, and I always take a careful, patient approach to make it as stress-free as possible for your pet. In my current role, I’m responsible for maintaining high welfare standards, monitoring health and behaviour, and making sure animals have positive, enriching experiences — and that’s something I bring into every pet I look after. I’m reliable, easy to communicate with, and will always keep you updated so you have peace of mind while you’re away. Most importantly, I’ll treat your pet as if they were my own.

Hetty loves animals and knows what they need as a qualified zookeeper. She'll give your pet all the attention it wants and more, rather than doing only the basics, just like she does with her pet rats!
Hetty simply loves animals, no matter if it’s the silliest ginger cat, the most loyal Labrador, or the naughtiest of rats - she’s got you covered. She knows just what your little ones will need, ensure that they are well loved, stimulated, and got all the fuss that they need. Her background as a zookeeper makes her an excellent sitter and an incredibly cool one too! You know that your priorities will be her priorities and her passion for high quality care will mean your little ones paws are in safer hands.
Hetty has been caring for our pets for several years. She is reliable, trustworthy and left our home very tidy indeed. Most of all she loves animals and our cats love her too. She is a lovely person and I wholeheartedly recommend her.
Heather has taken care of the family pets while we have been away on holiday and has always been caring and diligent. She is frequently asked to pet set by friends and neighbours looking after a range of pets including dogs, cats, and guinea pigs. She is honest and timely as well as very caring and careful with the animals, I have no doubt that she will take good car of anyone's pets.
