Hester treated our dog Charlie like family. She kept us in the loop with pictures and texts daily. We will definitely seek her out again for our next getaway.

Hester is great. Very good communication. Follows up quickly. Keeps me in the loop during my dogs stay. And I usually get a tired and happy dog after the stay. Very happy I found Hester!

Hester was absolutely wonderful! Sent us updates on our boy while we were out of the country and shared about all the fun he was having. Would definitely rebook and recommend!!

Hester is a wonderful dog sitter! As someone with an anxious dog, it's often hard to find someone who I'm comfortable leaving her with over night. But Hester put all my worries at ease by sending regular updates and photos which really reassured me that my dog was happy and well cared for. She followed all of my instructions carefully, especially when it came to medications and feeding, which I truly appreciated. It’s clear that she genuinely loves animals and treats them as if they were her own. That level of care and attention made all the difference. I had a wonderful experience with her caring for my dog while I was out of town and will absolutely be using her services in the future.

Schedule

I work from home as a consultant so my schedule allows me to be flexible during the day. I structure my day around my pup to make sure we get a good long walk in, have a couple potty breaks to wander around our 3-acre property, and that she's mentally stimulated through training or nose work activities.

Where your pet will stay

Home characteristics

Lives in a house
Has an unfenced yard
Non-smoking household
Has 1 dog, 1 cat
No children present
Dogs allowed on bed
Dogs allowed on furniture
Potty breaks every 0-2 hours

Safety, trust & environment

For our boarding clients, safety is of the utmost importance. Introductions between our dog and yours will be done outside and on leash at first. After the meet and greet, I encourage my clients to do a trial day or night as a test run for longer visits. My usual approach is to monitor the interactions at first, and when I have to work I keep the pets separate with the guest in my office and my pup in the remainder of the house. We have a basement we can use for a quiet space, if that's what your pup likes. We have multiple dog beds around the house for those that roam. And we have a dog crate available for those pups that crave something cozy. (Our deaf Pyrenees never took to the crate so she never uses it ;)

Pets

A typical day

Morning kicks off with potty break and breakfast, usually by 8:30. Meals and treats are given in separate spaces. (Can be earlier as needed for your pup’s schedule). Meds are dispersed with breakfast, and then we settle in my office for a work session. 2-4 hrs later there’s a break outside, with a longer walk. Afternoons are similar with one or two more potty breaks, and bedtime around 8-10pm.
