Pet care experience

An all dog loving couple!

We are a dog loving couple who have both grown up with dogs in our lives, and since moving out of our family homes we are very much missing the presence of them! Over the years, we have both helped care for family members dogs as well as friends, and because of this we have developed experience with a variety of breeds and behaviours. We have cared for dogs in multiple ways, whether that's just sitting with them indoors to keep an eye on them, playing with them so they get some stimulation, and also taking them for walks. Regarding walking, we know that some dogs may have issues such as pulling or being afraid, and some dogs may be absolutely fine! We have had experience in walking both, and as long as you just let us know beforehand how your dog tends to be, we can adapt to your dog’s way!

Schedule

We work a mixture of at home and in the office, so on days we are working from home we are usually available for dog sitting, and therefore your dog will always have company, and full attention. We can provide regular walks and playtime, while also giving them space to relax and unwind. At weekends, we can get out a little more and enjoy a mix of scenic nature walks and downtime at home, with lots of play included with your dog of course, providing a balanced day of activity and relaxation!

Safety, trust & environment

We have a fully fenced garden for safe outdoor time, but would still never leave your dog unattended. We offer one or multiple walks a day to suit your dog's needs and routine, as well as plenty of toys and playtime throughout the day to keep them happy and engaged! As it is just the two of us at home, we can provide a calm, relaxed environment where your dog can unwind. We are also always happy to send updates whenever needed!

A typical day

On the weekdays, we provide regular walks, playtime, and plenty of downtime, along with stimulating toys like snuffle mats, chews and plush toys. On the weekends, we may head out for longer nature walks or visit dog friendly cafes, if your dog is comfortable with that. We will also play with your dog as much as they wish throughout the day!

Our priority is to provide the best care for your dog during their stay, so we would love to know a few things prior! - Dietary needs: We do not provide dog food due to most dogs having varying diets, so ask that if you wish for us to feed them you provide their usual food and feeding schedule. We do have a variety of treats, however understand if you wish for us to not give your dog any, or if you wish to provide your own. - Walking behaviour: Please let us know how your dog is on the lead, whether they are confident, anxious or prone to pulling. (Any are fine as we have experienced a variety of different walking styles, but it is always good to know beforehand!) - Harness or lead: Please bring the harness and/or lead that your dog is used to (we do recommend harnesses for safety if your dog is comfortable) - Car travel: This is not essential at all and is just for if we plan any outings to know if your dog is comfortable in the car or not! If you are unsure, that is also ok, there are plenty of good walking locations nearby too! - Housetraining and triggers: Please let us know about toilet training, chewing habits, or anything that is prone to unsettling your dog, (e.g. doorbells, putting on a lead, etc.) Please feel free to share anything else about your dog!
