Pet care experience

Providing that 1/1 extra touch! 🥰

Hello future client! 🐶💖 When your sweet baby comes to stay with me, I will care for them as if they were my own-and since there will be no other animals here, they will have my undivided attention. I know how important your pet is to your family — and how hard it can be for both you and your pup when you’re apart — so my goal is to make their stay feels safe, soothing, and full of love. I’ve been called a pet whisperer because animals who typically hide, come out to greet me and are immediately at ease. I have an innate sense of what they want and need. My home has a calm, peaceful atmosphere to ease any stress or separation anxiety, and I take great joy in giving your baby plenty of affection and one-on-one attention. Whether they love belly rubs, gentle massages, butt scratches, or simply curling up next to someone who adores them, I’m here to make them feel truly at home. I’ve cared for dogs and animals most of my life — not just my own, but also those of friends and family. For several years, I helped run a home-based dog boarding business in Houston, where we welcomed dogs of all sizes, breeds, ages, and temperaments. I’m experienced with special feeding routines, medication, and adapting to each pup’s unique needs. My goal is for your pup to quickly feel so comfortable and loved here that this becomes their second home! My max weight limit is 75lbs. I’m also located just a few miles from Austin-Bergstrom International Airport, making drop-offs and pick-ups easy and convenient. If you’re new to Rover, feel free to use my discount code: HELENEM18265 I can’t wait to meet you and your precious baby! 🐾💕

Helene was our Dog Sitter on our recent 5 day trip for our niece's graduation. She responded to our request promptly and even suggested a meet and greet for our Standard Poodle. Rue is a shy girl, but seemed comfortable with Helene's calm demeanor. Helene followed our routine of walks, feeding and daily involvement with Rue. She was able to keep Rue engaged and safe. She also kept us up with daily texts and fotos of her activities. We would definitely use Helene again and would recommend her for anyone's pet sitting needs.

Helene was amazing with my dog, Layla! My girl has a little bit of anxiety, especially when she’s staying at a new place, but she immediately felt comfortable and relaxed at Helene’s house. Helene also took her on a lot of walks and gave her lots of pets. I really appreciated all of the updates, and I could tell Layla was as happy as can be there! I will definitely board with her again in the future.

Schedule

I work from home full time and I’m kind of a home body so your baby will be by my side pretty much the entire time. I take regular breaks away from the computer, and your pup will be right there along with me to take a short walk, stretching or going outside every couple hours. One of my favorite things to do is to be outside with your baby, playing, photographing or videoing them. So you’ll get lots of daily pictures! A regular routine is healthy for everyone and so feedings are according to their schedule and I notice their habits quickly so if anything seems off, I will contact you immediately-as appropriate. Bedtime is generally around 10-11pm.

Safety, trust & environment

I have a clean, well-kept home with a big, beautiful, fully enclosed backyard for your pup to sniff, romp or get those zoomies out 🤪 and I so delight in watching them! The yard is kept clean on a daily basis and for added protection, I have scheduled organic flea/tick control treatments and never use pesticides. Their safety, comfort and happiness is my top priority!

A typical day

A typical day here would be mostly relaxing except during potty breaks where I’ll encourage your pet to run, chase a ball, smell new scents and get lots of belly rubs and butt scratches-if that’s what they like. Oh, and lots of petting and snuggling on the sofa at night.

Before your pet’s stay, I like to schedule a meet and greet with you and your pup. This helps us all make sure we’re a great fit and gives your dog a chance to feel comfortable and familiar before their first stay. During this time, I’ll learn more about their personality, behavior, likes and dislikes, and what their usual daily routine looks like so I can keep things consistent and comforting for them.
