Hello everyone! I hope you can feel my love for dogs and dedication to them through out my story: My name is Helene. I am a French girl living in the US since almost 10 years now! Since the age of 2 years old, my dream was to get a dog. I asked my parents for years for a fur bestfriend. The dream became true at nine years. We added a new member to the family: Bill, a white cream golden retriever. We got him when he was 3 months old. By the age of 5 months old he was potty trained and already knew lot of commands. I taught my puppy everything myself at my very young age back then. Dog trainers said I just knew to how to do it! Once I moved to the United States at 18, I unfortunately could not bring my best friend with me and he stayed home with my parents where he got beach walks every single day and lots of love. As much as I wanted to bring him over, I know he would have been sad here as I was a college student and couldn’t give him the same care as back there. I missed him a lot while in the U.S, especially every time I saw a golden retriever or met friends who had dogs. This is why every time a friend asked if I could dogsit their dog, I was more than happy to do it. It meant a lot they trusted me with their dog. They knew how I treated mine and knew their dog would be in good hands. I’ve kept my friends dog, puppy and older dogs. I even taught the puppy since commands within only a couple days such as waiting for the food, or basic commands. Dog sitting my friends pups just made me realize how much I love taking care of dogs, even if it is not mine. Today, my partner and I cannot yet have our own dog, but I am fully available to provide love and care to someone’s dog. I work from home, so I can easily adjust my schedule for a morning walk, mid day or evening. Have a pawsome day!
