Your pets will be cared for as you would wish, and we will discuss their character and needs in detail before my first appointment. I don't have facilities for transporting dogs safely, so all dog walking will be done from your door, on a lead, in territory familiar to your dog.

About me: I am in my mid 40s and have been a pet carer and house sitter for more than a decade now. This forms a significant part of my working life and has taken me all over the UK, as well as to Portugal, Cyprus and America. I have also volunteered widely on organic farms so I am confident in rural settings and happy to 'muck in'. Thus far I've cared for cats, dogs, chickens, ducks and alpacas. As a child I had rabbits and guinea pigs, and I also looked after gerbils, hamsters and rats for friends. For your reassurance, I have an Enhanced DBS certificate. This can be viewed on request.

Helena is a perfect person to look after your animals and leave you with peace of mind to enjoy your holiday or weekend event. We have 3 energetic dogs, 5 chickens and a couple of horses. Helena arrived with plenty of hand-over time, then quietly made friends with the animals as we packed up the car. Whilst away we were kept up to date with reassuring, friendly messages/photos of how everyone was getting on as usual. Helena did a really excellent job of looking after our home and our cat for an extended period whilst we were out the country. Prior to the sit she asked all the right questions and was really diligent in understanding the needs of our both our cat, and our home. She kept in regular contact, gave regular updates and we came back to a house that was in impeccable condition. If you are looking for a sitter who you can depend on and who will treat your home with respect, our experience with Helena would suggest she would be an excellent choice. We have subsequently reached back out to Helena to see if she would be willing to sit again for us, and that's about the best testimonial I think it's possible to give. Helena house-sat for us in 2022, looking after our two cats and also our six alpacas! Her care for all concerned was meticulous and the cats certainly missed her when she left. The house was spotless upon our return. We can highly recommend her.
We were so lucky that Helena came to Cyprus to look after our cat, Carter. It was a pleasure to meet Helena and we were confident leaving Carter and our home in her capable hands. She was very attentive, checking in with his habits and learning his likes and dislikes. While away, we received lots of photos and updates. When we returned our home was clean, the sheets had been washed and Carter was chilled. He wasn't at all bothered that we had been away, which was ideal. Thank you so much.
