Walks, Play, and Proper Dog Days
I offer a warm, active, and attuned environment where dogs can truly be dogs. I love getting outdoors — whether that’s long walks, gentle runs, or slower “sniffy” exploring — and I’m very happy for dogs to get muddy, wet, and fully enjoy themselves (with a good towel-off afterwards!). At home, I offer calm, cosy evenings with plenty of snuggles and downtime — always led by what your dog is comfortable with. Some dogs want play, some want space, and I take time to tune into that. I have handling training and my dog Murphy is a certified ‘Dog Mentor’. This means I’m confident reading cues, supporting different temperaments, and helping dogs feel safe and settled. Whether your dog is energetic, sensitive, playful, or somewhere in between, I aim to provide a balanced experience of adventure, enrichment, and calm connection.

Helen has looked after our 2 year old Corgi several times now, for both daycare and overnight stays, and we honestly couldn’t have asked for a better host. She keeps in touch throughout, sending plenty of lovely updates and photos. It really is a little holiday away for him too and he always looks so happy that I started wondering whether our Corgi would want to come home again 😅 He’s made a friend for life in Murphy too, who gives him constant company and playtime. Helen is so warm, caring, and attentive with the dogs, and it’s clear she truly looks after them and wants them to live their best life! We could tell she made sure he felt completely at home ☺️
I can 100% recommend Helen to be a responsible and loving pet caregiver. She has looked after my two Labradors with confidence and understanding of the needs they have. I am totally at ease in leaving them with her and what's very important they are perfectly happy to spend time with her. Her own dog is remarkably well trained A happy and healthy animal which is a testament to her animal skills and knowledge.

Schedule
I mostly work from home, so dogs are rarely left alone and can settle into a calm, consistent routine. Our day usually starts with a morning walk or run, often along the river, giving dogs a chance to stretch their legs, explore, and burn off some energy. During the day, dogs have access to the garden for fresh air, sniffing, and play, alongside a relaxed home environment. If it suits the dog, we may head out for a shorter lunchtime walk in the nearby woods, followed by a longer walk after work to round off the day. Evenings are calm and cosy, with time to relax, unwind, and have a cuddle (if that’s their thing!). I try to balance activity and downtime so each dog feels both stimulated and settled.

I provide a calm, safe, and home-from-home environment where dogs are cared for with both structure and sensitivity to their individual needs. My home offers a relaxed space with access to a secure garden for regular breaks, play, and fresh air. I’m mindful of safety both inside and outside the home — whether that’s secure lead use on walks, careful introductions, or reading dogs’ body language to ensure they feel comfortable and not overwhelmed. I focus on creating an environment where dogs can settle at their own pace, feel safe, and enjoy both activity and calm downtime. Above all, I aim to build trust with both dogs and their owners so you can feel confident your dog is in safe, caring hands.
