Availability
My availability will be mostly ad hoc on my days off and holidays. I work to a monthly rota in my main job as a registered nurse so pet drop ins, walks and sitting will fit in around this. *Message me for dates from August '26 onwards - current availability released for April, May, June and July*

On walks for dogs: How do they behave around other dogs? Do you walk them where they know and feel safe with doggy friends? Are they allowed off the lead? Do they have good recall and listen to commands? Does your cat or dog require medication or have any health conditions I should be aware of? Does your cat mostly stay indoors, have a catio or stay outdoors for long periods?
A typical day
🌳I'll take your dog for walks in woodland, parks or their preferred places. 🥎I'll throw them their favourite ball or toy, or a good sturdy stick 🪵 I won't say no to a game of tug of war 🪢 🚗 Happy to take them out in the car if they feel safe and relaxed on car journeys. 😻For cats, I'm more than happy to play with them during drop-ins and overnight stays to keep them happy and stimulated 🧶 💦I'll make sure your pet has fresh water and clean food bowls. 💩Accidents do happen so I'll make sure your pet and home is clean. 😌If your pet prefers a quiet companion, they're shy, anxious or less active then I'm comfortable to give them the space and peace they need. 😋Treats for good behaviour are a must! (in moderation and with your permission of course).

Pet care experience
I have grown up with family pets including horses, fish, birds, hamsters and mostly dogs! I was a regular Borrow My Doggy walker and have provided overnight dog sitting for family and friends. Dogs I have cared for and grown up with include cairn terrier, lurcher, cockapoo, beagle, mixed breed. A year ago I rescued my first cat Willow from the RSPCA and have never looked back! She's been the best addition to our family. My main job is a registered nurse. I've been a cancer/palliative care nurse for 26 years so if you're looking for someone who is thoughtful, caring, reliable and trustworthy that's just who I am.

Helen has been a lifesaver when we needed someone to look after our Beagle Fifi. She made Fifi feel right at home and gave plenty of love, walks, and fun with the squirrels in the garden. She has a lovely home and Fifi loved the whole family.
