Experienced and passionate dog sitter
My husband and I have looked after dogs for a number of years. These have varied, from puppies to adults, small to large, as well as high energy, confident to more nervous rescue dogs. What their stay looks like, is shaped around the needs of the dogs, their current routines, enrichment activities, exciting walks and any specific requests from their owners. We are passionate about creating an environment where a dog can thrive and develop in a home away from home. We have our own gorgeous pooch called Bonnie. She is very relaxed around other dogs, as she has socialised with dogs both inside and outside the home since we adopted her in 2024. She's very independent and calm in the house, but loves to explore with her fellow dogs when out and about on a walk. We also volunteer at a dog shelter, where we walk, train and lead enrichment activities with Romanian Rescue dogs. Through this experience working with a brilliant dog trainer and head of the charity, we understand that every dog is totally different, therefore, their care plan and routine need to reflect as much and be tailored to their personalities. As a result, we are confident with rescue dogs or those who are anxious and less confident.

Helen and Andy were absolutely amazing with our dog, Kobe! This was Kobe’s first time staying away from home, so we were a bit nervous— especially since he’s an energetic miniature cockapoo, but they made the entire experience really good and reassuring. From the start, it was clear they were both experienced with handling high-energy dogs. Kobe instantly took to them, which says a lot. They kept him active, engaged, and happy the whole time, and we could tell he was getting plenty of attention and care. We also really appreciated the regular updates—they gave us peace of mind knowing Kobe was doing great and having fun (especially playing with Bonnie!). We wouldn’t hesitate to book with Helen and Andy again! Thank you!
We were very pleased with Helen & Andy and felt that our small family dog was very well looked after. He’s a very lively dog with a strong personality which they embraced. We would highly recommend.
Ruby was looked after for around 24 hours and we couldn’t have asked for a better experience. They were incredibly accommodating, especially given Ruby’s high energy levels, and managed her brilliantly alongside their own dog. We loved receiving lots of photos and regular updates, which really put our minds at ease. Ruby came home happy and settled — we’d absolutely recommend and would use them again without hesitation.
We are so pleased to have found Helen and Andy on our doorstep. Our dog Vinnie had grown quite fearful of his kennels and we were determined to find him somewhere he could be more at-home and comfortable when we were away. From meet and greets to taster stays, Helen has made every effort to settle Vinnie in and move at his pace. Her knowledge and experience with dogs really shows and Vinnie was happy and content in their company and home which has been lovely to see.
Helen was absolutely brilliant with my little dog, fleur. Super responsive sent lots of photos and gave her a really fun day. Fleur can’t wait to go back

Schedule
We typically take the dogs out for a morning walk, which will be roughly an hour. I work full time from home, which allows me to be home all day with the dogs. We will then have a shorter second walk, with playtime and enrichment thrown in!

We have a fenced garden, as well as a field two minutes from our house, where dogs have plenty of space to run and play as they wish!
