Helen was a lifesaver for our nearly 14-year-old poodle/terrier mix, George. After he became a little too old/anxious for boarding, a friend recommended Helen, and we couldn’t be more grateful. She kept us updated throughout our trip, went above and beyond and provided George with compassionate, attentive care every step of the way. She even brought him home before we returned to help reduce his stress (and ours!). Helen is kind, reliable, and truly dedicated to the well-being of the pets she cares for. She kept us updated with messages and pictures all weekend to keep us informed. We highly recommend her, especially for senior dogs that may require more individual care than what a kennel can provide.
During our time away, Leon wasn’t feeling well and experienced several days of diarrhea, which made it difficult for him to eat. We believe the stress of being separated from us may have contributed to his condition. Since we were unable to return quickly, we were naturally very worried. Helen responded immediately and thoughtfully, taking Leon to his veterinarian and providing exceptional care throughout the entire situation. She kept us informed, remained calm under pressure, and treated Leon with the same love and attention that we would have given him ourselves. Thanks to her quick actions, dedication, and compassion, Leon was able to recover and return to feeling much better. We cannot express how grateful we are for everything she did during such a stressful time. Helen is truly an outstanding sitter. Her professionalism, kindness, and genuine care for animals are remarkable. We have the utmost respect and appreciation for her, and we would trust her with Leon again without hesitation. Thank you from the bottom of our hearts, Helen.
Helen is amazing! She took excellent care of my senior dog and sent plenty of photos and updates. She is so knowledgeable about caring for senior dogs, and even helped me get my dog (who had been having trouble sleeping through the night) on a more regular sleep schedule. I am so grateful and will definitely be rebooking :)
Rosie had a great time staying with Helen while I was away on a Mother’s Day weekend trip! I am new to the area this was my first time trying to find a pet sitter for Rosie since moving. I got daily pictures of Rosie and updates on walks, feeding, playing, etc. I love knowing that someone was taking excellent care of my girl while I was away!
Helen was fantastic with our senior dog, Koda. Her home was a welcoming and safe place for an older dog. She followed our instructions and sent wonderful pictures and updates. Highly recommend!
Helen was a great dog sitter. She kept us informed of throughout our dog’s stay and sent lots of pictures of Maggie. She kept her company and took her for walks. Maggie was well cared for which made us very happy while we were away from her.

Schedule
Hi, I’m Helen! I’m a dedicated senior dog mom with extensive experience caring for older dogs. My specialty is senior dogs, and I understand the extra attention, patience, and routine they need to feel comfortable and secure. I provide a calm, structured environment where dogs can relax and settle in easily. For boarding, I ask that your dog is able to be left alone with another dog for up to 5 hours and does not have separation anxiety. This helps ensure a safe and low-stress environment for everyone. I am a personal trainer with my own business so I do leave the house to go to see clients and then in between I come back to walk the dogs! I only take dogs under 25 pounds.

In 2017, I adopted a 10-year-old Jack Russell named Shorty, who later passed from lung cancer in 2022. Through that experience, I learned firsthand how to care for aging dogs with changing needs. I then adopted another senior dog, Mia, and continue to focus on providing thoughtful, attentive care. Older dogs have a special place in my heart—I truly believe you can teach old dogs new tricks, and I love helping them feel comfortable, engaged, and cared for. A typical day
Mia loves walks and gets walks every day so your dog will too! We will also go to Stoddards neck in Hingham on weekends if your dog would enjoy that.
