I had my first Collie puppy when I was 12 years old on the family farm, since then Tim and I have always had dogs of our own, I have the caring skills to look after dogs through all the stages of their life. Our family dogs have all been rescues; German Shepherds, Labradour and Mongrels and at present a kelpie x Collie called Toby,alongside my daughters aged Beagle, Charlie. I am used to going on long regular walks, feeding, wee breaks, playing, settling nervous dogs and specialist care. I have walked twice a day, fed and washed out the kennels for a friends spaniels while they go on holiday.We had great fun looking after two 12 week old puppies until they were old enough to work. I I know how much I love our dogs and how important it is to know they will be happy if you have to leave them with someone else.

Belle had a lovely time with Helen and enjoyed racing about with Toby. Helen was great at keeping us up to date with videos of how Belle was doing, which helped us enjoy our break. We would thoroughly recommend Helen.
We could not be happier! Helen is wonderful. Jessica was happy and totally settled, she really enjoyed her stay. We feel totally blessed to have found Helen and will have no hesitation in taking Jessica back in the future 😊
Helen is such a lovely human being! She was so flexible picking up a last minute request. So nice with Blaze. A lovely home to stay in and he had an absolute blast. Booked in to stay for a month soon! He’s looking forward to it :)
Ideal location for our border terrier who was content and well looked after by Helen who was a very friendly and approachable host :D
Flossie spent two nights with Helen as a try out for future bookings. Helen is extremely experienced and caring with dogs and after Flossie was a bit sad because we had left her she soon settled in and, we think, really enjoyed her stay. We know that Flossie got plenty of long walkies in the idyllic area and got on well with Helen's two dogs. We have booked the next stay (longer) with confidence.

Schedule
I can happily spend the necessary time to suit the needs of the dog as I work from home with lots of time spent gardening with the dogs helping! Morning wees first thing before we get ready for a 30 -60 minute walk depending on the dog. Rest in the house or garden. Playing or fuss and grooming as per dogs needs . Afternoon / evening walk before rest in the lounge on a dog cushion.

Safety, trust & environment
The dogs are allowed to be with us all the time inside and out. I have a large dog crate if needed and feeding bowls. We are not near any roads and any walking is from our house into fields and woodlands with streams and pools to play in. The dog will be walked on a lead and I have access to fenced fields where energetic dogs can safely play.
Pets
A typical day
Depending on the dog we can go in the fields and play with balls or a frisbee, go swimming in our local stream and walks in the local woodlands. Snoozing in the garden.
