I love dogs more than humans!
I have grown up with dogs and have always had a deep love for taking care of them. I was born into a family of two dog-loving parents and a yellow lab named Sammy. Since then, we've had a male Lhaso Apso named Tony, a female Chow Chow mix named Ana, and currently a male Wheaten Terrier named Sonny. There has literally never been a moment in my life where I did not own a dog, and since 2010 I have also volunteered at the New Rochelle Humane Society (walking, feeding, and socializing the cats and dogs). I truly know the ins and outs of dog care like the back of my hand -- its more than a job for me, its my lifestyle, and I hope that I can share my lifestyle with your and your furry friend! As of 2024 I currently live in Santa Fe, NM and am offering my dog walking and drop in services in the area, and I am also offering petsitting services in both Santa Fe and Taos. UPDATE 12/26/24 I will be in New York City for the holidays and am offering walking and sitting services here until January 16 2025

Extremely responsive sitter. I loved the fact that Maude was able to stay with her dog and have company while I was away. Definitely a good person to love my Maude while I was away.
Helen and I met through Pratt, and she watched my dog Tiger when I left Brooklyn for winter break. From the moment they first met Tiger took an instant liking to her, and I knew she would do a great job watching him. And she did! She regularly sent me pictures of her spending time with Charlie. By the time I came back Tiger was so sad to leave her! I would definitely recommend her to anyone who want a kind and considerate dog sitter!

Schedule
I work freelance, which means I have a lot of time to spend at home with your pet. I structure my day around the needs of each animal, and can work with even the most demanding schedule.

Safety, trust & environment
I always make sure the client's home is as clean as it was when I first arrived, and that all doors are locked with animals inside. I pay a lot of attention to the physical and mental state of animals, and if I see they're overheating or in any state of distress I will do everything in my power to make them feel better.
Pets
A typical day
I love walking through parks and nature trails with the dogs I watch. Right now my favorite place to go in Santa Fe is along the arroyos behind Frank Ortiz Park (don't worry, I'll make sure your dog is clean of sand before we get back inside!) I also love walking along the river trail in the summer, especially when the water is running high enough to wade through. I am also down to chill for hours at home with cats while they periodically decide to sit on my lap or rub up against my leg.
