Now I'm fully retired I can focus on caring for animals without interruption from work. When dogs board, I walk them twice a day and happy to do up to 5 miles a day depending on your dog's normal routine.

Safety, trust & environment
There are hedges around our garden and it is large enough for a dog to run around and play with a ball. There is a wet room just inside the back door suitable to wash down a dog after a muddy walk. We live in a small village surrounded by countryside with many walks across fields and through woods, so no need to drive first.

Information Helen D. would like to know about your pet
Let me know if your dog is friendly to other dogs when on or off the lead, when your dog is off the lead does he always return when called. Is there anything in particular that spooks your dog in or out of the house likely to make him panic. Does your dog have any medical or special dietary needs.
A typical day
I am happy to play with your dog using a ball or stick in the back garden and soft toys in the house. We will walk across fields and through woods locally as well as through the country lanes sometimes stopping to chat with neighbours/other villagers walking their dogs.

Reviews

My dog Mollie, has just had her first sleepover with Helen & made herself right at home at Helen’s house. She loved the quiet, home from home feel that Helen provides and when it was time to collect her, she was super relaxed! Already booked in for a longer stay in just over a weeks time when i’m abroad, and i know Mollie will be in very safe hands with Helen! ♥️

Helen looked after our French Bulldog perfectly and our pup clearly developed trust and affection immediately. It was only for a few days but she was completely at home and happy when we picked her up. We have more trips away than usual this year and will definitely be returning and are so happy we know our beloved Frenchie will be having an amazing time!

This was Peaches’ 2nd stay with Helen, arranged at short notice which was very helpful! Peaches and Helen have formed a precious bond, it was delightful to see Peaches so happy and excited running towards Helen and going into her house, evidently feeling very at home. Lovely house, garden and rural environment. Helen looked after Peaches brilliantly and was vigilant regarding Peaches’ joint issues, and gave her medicine accordingly. We have another stay booked for our summer holiday.

Helen is a lovely lady and a perfect match for my dog Peaches. They bonded straightaway and I could see that Peaches was comfortable in Helen’s company. Helen was very vigilant about Peaches’ needs. Lovely rural location with a decent sized garden. We already have another stay booked!
