Safety, trust & environment

I have a fully fenced yard and have three friendly pups. I have fostered for a nonprofit rescue since before I had my personal babies so they are super friendly and used to puppies going in and out. Everyone eats separately to avoid upset tummies, and I spend time with them to ensure they get the love and attention they need. I want all babies who stay with us to feel excited about returning.

Information Helen C. would like to know about your pet

Good with cats, children, and other dogs? Is your baby up to date on his/her vaccines? Spayed/Neutered? Is your dog crate-trained? House trained? Behavioral issues (such as previous bite incidents or destructive behavior)? Are there any anxiety issues and/or medication requirements? What are the words/phrases/commands used in your home so that I can carry them over in my home? Where does your dog sleep each night?

A typical day

I love for my babies and pet-sitting babies to feel like they are doing something in their day. Most babies that stay with me are more about relaxation which is great. I put beds on the deck so they can lay and take in the sun and fresh air. I have a ton of shade so they won't be overheated. Then we can go back inside for some downtime so they don't feel overwhelmed. Cuddles are a huge plus in our home so any baby that loves to cuddle while doing a movie night is perfect! At bedtime, they are welcome to sleep with any family member in my home or sleep in a crate if that is what they prefer. I try to make their stay feel like they are being spoiled, loved, and with no stress.

Your Dog’s Fav Vacation Spot ❤

Pet care experience

Hi, I’m Helen Castillo, owner of Your Dog’s Favorite Vacation Spot, LLC ❤️ We provide a loving, low-stress home environment where your pups are treated like family! I’ve spent years volunteering in animal rescue and have experience with dogs of all ages, sizes, and personalities. Every dog staying with us gets plenty of love, cuddles, playtime, and personalized care. We’re located in Powder Springs and share our home with my daughter, our 3 friendly senior pups, and 3 cats — we absolutely love having doggy guests here! ✨ Before Booking: • Meet & greets are required to make sure we’re the perfect fit • All pups must be dog, cat, and kid-friendly • Vaccines must be up to date • Dogs must be flea/tick-free and free of contagious illnesses For safety reasons, we cannot accommodate dogs with aggressive behaviors. ✨ What to Bring: • Food and any special treats • Medication (if needed) with instructions • Vet information + local emergency contact • Optional comfort item if your pup has separation anxiety We already provide bowls, toys, and lots of love ❤️ I pride myself on creating a safe, fun, and cozy “vacation spot” where pet parents can feel comfortable knowing their babies are cared for like my own. I look forward to meeting you and your pup! 😊

Helen took amazing care of my little Chip! I got frequent updates and pictures to let me know how he was doing. Chip had a great time and we will definitely be back next time we need a sitter!

Helen did an absolutely amazing job making sure that Holly, my semi-anxious labradoodle, felt safe and happy for the entire stay. This was my first time using Rover and I am so happy to have found Helen. Now that I’ve found someone I can trust to keep Holly happy and well-cared for, I plan to book with her every time we go out of town.
