I love animals more than people!
I have always had dogs and cats. After 14 years in the prison service, I spent 5 years running a pub and the customers agreed that their dogs were better treated than they were. It's true! I have a great energy with animals. At 55, I decided that it was ME time, so I self retired, purchased a camper van (Brian) and started out on my adventures on what was due to be a 'gap year'. Picking up pet sitting along the way helped fuel Brian and feed me and I had no idea how busy pet sitting would keep me and how much I would love my new life so now I plan my travels around my pet sitting! My portfolio currently includes dogs, cats, lambs, chickens and tortoises. Full disclosure - I am struggling with the tops of my feet and currently undergoing tests for rheumatoid arthritis so I can't walk as far as I used to without suffering. I love and need the exercise and can comfortably walk a mile or so before the pain kicks in but if you have a dog that needs regular long walks then I'm probably not the sitter for you. What I can provide is lots of love and cuddles and a couple of short walks a day 😁

I am 57 years old, happily single and you have my assurance that I will care for your pets the way you do. If they sleep in bed with you then they'll sleep in bed with me and I will follow whatever usual routine you have. I travel alone and wouldn't dream of bringing other people into your house.

Helen was faultless from start to finish. Communication from the start was prompt, regular and informative and whilst we were away she sent lots of updates and photos about our dog which made us feel really reassured. She left the house spotless and washed her bedding and left us a bottle of milk - which was really appreciated but totally unexpected. We would recommend Helen to anyone and it is clear our dog was well loved and cared for. Thank you again Helen.
Helen was amazing and made me feel so relaxed whilst I was away!! She treated both my dogs and a litter of 6 like they were there own!! Would highly recommend to anyone!!
Amazing! From the first contact to the end of the pet sit, Helen was just perfect. She was highly organised, gorgeous with Hugo and totally catered to his daily routine. The added bonus of washing and ironing her bedding was hugely appreciated and absolutely not expected!
We couldn’t have asked for a better dog sitter! Helen was absolutely wonderful, kind, punctual, and incredibly attentive to our three dogs, including our energetic puppy. Not only did she take amazing care of them, but she also looked after our home for the day and went the extra mile by even doing the dishes! It’s rare to find someone so thoughtful and reliable. Helen truly went above and beyond, and we won’t hesitate to book with her again. Highly recommend!

Schedule
I have no work commitments so can spend as much time with your pets as required. I never leave pets on their own for any period of time and will send you WhatsApp pictures to give you peace of mind that your pets are being loved and looked after whilst you're away.

- Before accepting any work, I need to know all your pet's foibles - any anxieties or behavioural traits? Any allergies? How they interact with other dogs and people etc. I like to do a meet and greet prior to any sits so that I can introduce myself to you and your pets and we can both get a feel for each other and address any potential behavioral issues - the pets not mine 😂
