I have a fenced garden with both lawn and paved areas and lots of space if a crate is used. In the winter a log burner will be lit which dogs love to lay in front of!

Information Helen B. would like to know about your pet
I like to know the dogs usual routine so I can keep this as much as possible to keep them relaxed and settled, and Im happy to meet up before boarding if necessary too.
A typical day
I can give short or longer walks daily according to what your dog needs plus use of the garden. Your dog will be part of my family while with me so they will get lots of attention and affection.

Dog loving house without own dog!
Pet care experience
I dont currently have our own dog but have had in the past and I grew up with dogs. I look after friends and family dogs and are wanting to extend this as I enjoy it so much. I have experience of lots of breeds and can manage medication and special requirements as necessary. Our last dog, Rufus, went blind and we managed this for over a year i am experienced in making adaptations when necessary. I live in a quiet area on a private lane with an enclosed garden. There are sports fields behind the property which means quick access to open areas on a regular basis and have lots of lovely walks from the house.
Reviews

For most trips, we leave the girls with family, but a big family holiday meant we needed to find another solution. Kennels weren’t right for us, so we turned to Rover. We went through a lot of profiles, but Helen’s really stood out: a peaceful location and a one‑dog policy, which was ideal as one of our girls is very anxious around other dogs. After a pre‑visit, we felt completely reassured. During their stay, Helen sent daily updates and photos showing how settled and content they were — from relaxing around the house to enjoying their walks. They looked genuinely happy. We’d absolutely recommend Helen and her family. If we need a sitter again, they’ll be our first choice.

I was apprehensive about leaving Bertha with anyone apart from family, we found helen and so glad we did! Bertha was cared for and looked after like their own, I received plenty of updates and photos whilst away that helped to put my mind at ease. Helen is great and I will definitely be booking again for next time!

Helen was very attentive to Rosie’s needs, I received plenty of pictures of Rosie, in the garden, house and on her walks throughout her stay. Rosie seemed really happy when I came to collect her, she’d had a lovely relaxing holiday herself. I would definitely recommend Helen and will be going back ☺️

Thank you, Helen for looking after our beautiful, big Boxer dog. He’s had a great long weekend with you. Will definitely be booking with you again 🌟
