I'm a self-employed designer and run my business from my home. Working from home is roughly 90% of my working week. The remaining 10% I am on site visits or have meetings with clients. On these occasions Ben can come and work from home to assist. His office is based a 10 minute walk away from our house by the Marina where he works as a Naval Architect.

Safety, trust & environment
We have a fully fenced back garden that backs onto green-belt. Your dog/s can go wherever they like downstairs and make themselves comfortable on the sofa. The house is open plan from front to back. I mostly work from the kitchen so will constantly have an eye on all four legged friends and when the weather is nice, the bi-fold doors are left open for free roaming in the garden.

Information Helen A. would like to know about your pet
It is important for me to know your dog's daily routine, including feeding times, food quantity & any dietary requirements. Exercise needs and any specific commands they respond to are also helpful. It's also important to let me know of any medical conditions, allergies, medications, and potentially the contact information for their vet. Knowing your dog's temperament, likes and dislikes, and any potential triggers for anxiety or aggression helps me provide the best care and keep your four-legged friend as well as other dogs safe.
A typical day
I always take my dog/s on daily walks in the park, where they can sniff around and meet other dogs. We can play fetch and tug-of-war. I can hide treats around the garden for them to find. I also love a cuddle session with plenty of belly rubs and ear scratches.

Pet care experience
Myself (34) and my partner Ben (38) have grown up with dogs and we have our very friendly Golden Retriever (Coby) as well as regularly take care of my families dog while they are on holiday. Ben has previously rescued a street pup abroad and trained her to become his well behaved and affectionate companion, so he's a great partner in crime when it comes to pet care. We have years of experience caring for a variety of breeds, including Golden Retrievers, Cocker Spaniels, Flat-Coated Retrievers, and various lovable crossbreeds. A close friend is a veterinary nurse and has always been helpful providing additional medical information if there is ever even a minor concern. Our hands-on experience means we understand the unique needs and personalities of different dogs, ensuring tailored care for each pet. We are both avid outdoor enthusiasts and cherish the company of our four-legged friends on our adventures. Whether it’s a playful stroll in the park or a tranquil walk through nature, we love sharing these moments with dogs.
Reviews

A massive thank you to Helen and Ben for keeping me up to date and sending plenty of pictures and videos. Genie felt right at home and had the best time!
Our crazy spaniel needs a lot of walking, and Helen & Ben totally deliver. They manage his special diet and give him his ear drops without issue. We feel so comfortable leaving our fur baby with both Helen & Ben. Would definitely recommend them as trusted and reliable dog sitters.
Helen is amazing with our dog Archie. She has a real knack for connecting with him and makes him feel right at home. She sends photos and updates so we know what he’s been up to. Archie is always happy to stay with her, and we can enjoy our holidays without worrying. Thanks Helen!
