Hi, I’m Kristen! I grew up surrounded by furry friends and later studied Animal Ecology and Conservation Biology in college. Today, my home is happily run by three fur babies ranging from 4 to 11 years old. Caring for my own pets and guest pets over the years has taught me so much. I’ve had experience with animals from many different backgrounds — rescues from euthanasia lists, purebreds with genetic health issues, puppies still learning house training, and independent little personalities. Every pet is unique, and I love getting to know their individual needs and quirks.

As a pet mom for many years, I understand how important it is to feel confident and at ease when your pet is in someone else’s care. I’m a husky mom, so I always carry a Gog (Tractive) GPS tracker and am happy to share location updates while I’m out walking your dog. I’m also completely comfortable with home security or pet cameras. I use several cameras at home to check in on my own cats when I’m away, so I fully understand and respect pet parents who want that extra peace of mind.

This was my second time booking with Hejie, and she was amazing as always! She’s patient, caring, and very detail-oriented. She took wonderful care of my cat, Boba, and kept me updated throughout each visit. It’s such a relief knowing Boba is in such good hands. Highly recommend, and I’ll definitely book with her again!

Hejie ‘Kristen’, continues to be an absolute blessing! Kato’s love for playing with Kristen is undeniable. Kristen is incredibly attentive to every little detail and possesses an impressive understanding of dog behaviors. What stands out the most is her genuine care for Kato’s overall health and well-being. She is even great at cleaning Kato's ears! Every time she visits, Kristen demonstrates nothing but pure love and compassion for Kato. We are so lucky to have her.
I cannot recommend Hejie ‘Kristen’ highly enough! She has visited my Husky, Kato, twice now, and Kato has clearly chosen her as her favorite new playmate. During her 30-minute visits, Kristen does an amazing job not just exercising Kato physically, but truly working her mind. Kato absolutely loves to learn, and Kristen takes the time to practice and strengthen her existing commands while keeping it fun. It is wonderful to have someone who understands exactly what a smart working dog needs. 5 stars!
We had a wonderful experience with our drop-in visits! Hejie gave very detailed updates during and after each visit and always sent great photos, which really gave us peace of mind. Moon (our Bichon) absolutely loved her, she got along with Moon extremely well and was clearly very caring and attentive. Her flexibility with timing made everything incredibly smooth. We will 100% be booking her again and can’t recommend her highly enough!
My friend Hejie Xu has been an incredibly reliable and caring cat sitter whenever I am away on trips. She takes excellent care of my cats by regularly cleaning their litter boxes, playing with them, and spending quality time with them to make sure they feel comfortable and well cared for. Kristen is very attentive to their needs and genuinely enjoys being around them. As a cat owner herself with two cats, she has plenty of experience and a natural understanding of feline behavior. She is kind, responsible, and truly wonderful with cats, and I always feel at ease knowing my cats are in her care.

Schedule
I work from home with a flexible schedule, so I’m happy to do drop-in visits and dog walks based on what works best for you. I have experience caring for cats and dogs who need extra medical attention, including post-cancer care for a previous dog and daily asthma management for my 11-year-old cat.
Prices include all fees.
