With a lifetime of loving and caring for dogs—from our childhood pets to our own energetic Westies, Luna and Ariel—we’re well-equipped to handle a variety of needs. We’ve successfully managed high-energy pups by channeling their zest into fun, structured activities like daily walks on nearby trails, interactive play sessions in our secure fenced yard, and engaging games to keep them happily tired out. For dogs requiring medications, we’re comfortable administering oral doses as scheduled, ensuring precise timing and gentle handling to make it stress-free. We also accommodate special diets as instructed—whether it’s portion-controlled kibble or allergy-specific foods—to keep tails wagging and tummies content. Since we both work from home, we’re always available to provide attentive, round-the-clock care, adapting to any unique requirements your furry friend might have for a safe, joyful stay!

Rick and Lara are the best paw-rents I know - they have two lovely Westie girls Luna and Ariel. They have a huge open yard with lots of room for playing for your pup. They are very knowledgeable in dealing with any medical requirements for your pet and are diligent in ensuring your pet is well taken care of. Whatever you pet requires, you can guarantee they will get love and attention at Rick and Lara's home. Our Theo enjoys his time there playing with his best friends Luna and Ariel and we always trust that he is well taken care of. I would highly recommend them if you want the best care by this dog loving family!

Hi, we’re Rick and Lara, a dog-loving couple in vibrant Calgary, dedicated to providing a warm, home-away-from-home for your furry friends! We’ve both grown up with dogs our entire lives—as kids and adults—so we bring a lifetime of experience and endless affection to every pup we welcome. Inspired by our two energetic Westies, Luna and Ariel, we’re passionate about giving dogs the playful, attentive care they deserve. Since we both work from home, your furry guest will always have someone around for playtime, cuddles, and constant supervision—no lonely moments here!

Your dog will love our spacious, secure fenced yard in our quiet neighborhood, perfect for zooming around and playing safely. We also have a large interior space for them enjoy. We’re just steps away from walking trails, parks, and a neighbourhood lake with dog-friendly paths, so daily adventures and fresh air are always on the agenda (weather permitting). We offer boarding and daycare for potty-trained dogs over 1 year old, with a focus on small and medium breeds up to 40 lbs. To keep things personal and fun, we only host up to two dogs at a time—ensuring exclusive attention, from belly rubs to supervised playdates. We’re comfortable administering oral medications as needed, and we promise daily photo and video updates so you can see all the tail-wagging joy! What makes our home special? Our Westies love making new friends, turning every stay into a lively pack adventure filled with playtime, naps and cuddles. Whether it’s a quick daycare drop-off or a longer boarding getaway, your pup will head home happy, tired, and spoiled.
