Dog Lover Seeking Dog Cuddles <3
I grew up with a dog and 2 cats. Our dog was a beagle who joined our family around the time I was 3, so I spent my whole childhood playing with, cuddling with, and taking care of a dog. I also helped my parents train him with clickers and treats (positive reinforcement). I have also spent the last about 7-8 years taking care of my friends’ pets when needed. I’ve taken care of a friend’s boxer/hound/etc mix (while caring for her family’s 5 cats), another friend’s bulldog/boxer/etc mix, my sister’s coonhound mix (at ages 2 years and younger), and assisted my sister with taking care of some dogs when she was previously on Rover (senior chihuahua, and a couple mid/large-sized dogs). Additionally, I started volunteering with Kitsap Humane Society over the last few months and have really enjoyed walking a large variety of dogs there. I love cuddling with dogs, getting them outside in the fresh air, and just spending time with them in general. Plus, I’ve got a bachelor’s in psychology, so I’ve got plenty of behavioral science knowledge.

I don’t have any pets in my home, but am not able to offer boarding at my house due to my boyfriend’s allergies. In your home, I am always happy to do whatever is best for your dog. If they like going to a specific dog park, like walking on trails, need specific sorts of activity, etc., please let me know and I am happy to do whatever I need to do to keep them happy and comfortable while you’re gone. Overall, just here to do whatever is best for you and your dog.

Heidi was really sweet! She watched my Belgian Malinois, Poppy while I went out of the country. She sent updates and photos and took great care of him. It made me feel at peace to know he was in good hands ❤️❤️ thank you Heidi!
Heidi has watched my little pittie multiple times and I highly recommend! She gives all of the love and attenction that Bee deserves in my absence. It is always comforting when it feels like your dog-sitter loves your dog as much as you do!
Heidi has a lifelong passion for animals that is evident in the way she treats any animal who is entrusted to her care. She has experience working with animals of all sizes, ages, temperaments, and with different levels of needs. She is caring, responsible, and trustworthy. She will listen very carefully to your specific pet's needs, personality, preferences, etc. and will take them to heart and go above and beyond to care for them accordingly. She is very communicative and will reassure you that your pet is being well-loved while you are away. I cannot recommend Heidi highly enough!
I have known Heidi for almost 20 years and she always been a lover of animals. She has taken care of my family's cats and dog multiple times and always gone above and beyond. She has also petsitted for my own cats. While the basic necessities of food and walking the dog/cleaning the litter are important, the most important thing for me as a pet parent is that I know my pets are being loved on and taken care of as if they are the petsitter's own. Heidi always does that and when she is watching our pets during vacations, I know I don't have to worry because she is there. Aside from being a loving petsitter, Heidi is also very responsible and diligent with her work. My family dog can be a handful on walks but she never complained and always made sure our dog had plenty of outdoor time while we were away. My animals are members of my family and there is no one else I would trust more to take care of them than Heidi!

Schedule
I have a fully remote job, so I am almost always home. With that flexibility, I will have plenty of time for going on walks, having some play time, and giving your sweet dog love and attention. On weekends, I love to get outside for a run or walk and would be happy to bring your dog with me if they enjoy getting some good exercise in.

- - Any triggers/reactivity (whether it be sensitivity to a certain gender, types of clothing, certain dog breeds, items in their environments, etc.) - anything that makes them uncomfortable, stressed, or aggressive. - Dietary restrictions, treat preferences, or other food related concerns. - I am 4’10”, so if you feel that your dog would be a lot for someone my height to handle, I’m unfortunately probably not a good fit. - A little about their personality - do they enjoy a lot of exercising and running, are they more sedentary, do they enjoy physical contact and cuddling or not, how do they spend their time during the day, what makes them tick?
