I've owned dogs all my life and really miss having one, and after I lost my beagle mix several years ago, I really wanted to get another dog, but my husband reminded me of our active life and the numerous trips we take. His daughter suggested I look into Rover, and I realized this is the best of both worlds! I never would have guessed I would love dog sitting as much as I do, and I have met some of the best people and pets. Haven't met a dog yet that I didn't enjoy having in my home and feel so fortunate to be able to share your pups for a few days. It's a win-win for me-plenty of time with pups, but still able to head off when we want to. Rover is the best thing to happen to me in a long time!

Heidi goes above and beyond caring for our senior dog Max! She gives him extra care to make him comfortable and at home. We appreciate the updates and pictures seeing how much Max enjoys his time in her home and loves his walks! We know Max is in capable loving hands each time we’re away!
Heidi has been phenomenal with our new puppy and a huge asset with potty training. For the past two weeks she has come every day to take our sweet three month old puppy out to use the bathroom while we are at work. We still have a lot of weeks to go, but we are looking forward to still working with Heidi (and Wesley!) I don’t think we could do it without her!

Schedule
I am a retired elementary school teacher who is now a stay home part-time granny nanny so my days are rather free. My grandson is here Wednesdays and Thursdays and every other Friday.

We have a fenced in backyard and live in a quiet neighborhood. We do what you do…if you crate your dog, we do; if you do not, neither do we.
A typical day
I live in a quiet neighborhood with lots of fabulous walking routes. I am also close to Mt. Trashmore Park which has nice walking trails and wonderful opportunities for wonderful sniffs.
