I am happily retired. My own dog passed 5 years ago so I am now free to provide services for other peoples pets. It fills the void of not having my dog anymore and I can use all my love for your pets!

I’m very respectful of a clients instructions for their pets and home. I always leave your home the way it was when I show up (or better)! I can keep you updated with pictures while your pet/s are in my care. Your pets are my priority.

Let me know what your normal daily routine is with your pet; I like to keep things as consistent as possible for him/her. Also, anything I need to be cautious about, ex; dog doesn’t like paws touched, etc. Meds, if any, including instructions, Vet info, feeding schedule, etc.
A typical day
I like to play fetch inside with an appropriate ‘inside’ toy and outside (in a fenced in backyard). I will walk every 4-6 hours or as you request. I can walk your dogs, but can’t run with them on leash because I’m past my running years! That being said, I let your dog sniff as much as they want, but am always watching so the sneaky ones don’t snatch up a cicada, or some other small item that was found while sniffing. I use verbal commands and if given time, it will become part of the relationship your pet and I develop.

Heidi is absolutely wonderful. She has done an in-home stay at our house twice now and both times, she did an excellent job. She is great at communicating and truly loves the dogs. It’s so nice to be able to go on vacation and not have to worry. We are so lucky to have connected with her and look forward to using her again in the future.

Awesome! We were so lucky to have Heidi watch our dogs while we were on vacation! She was so sweet and caring with them, handled all of their medication and care needs, sent frequent updates, and left our home in perfect condition. She even took out our trash cans on garbage day without being asked. Typically when we have gone on vacation, we have been worried about our dogs the entire time, but not with Heidi. She put us at ease every day and was so great with then. When we came back, both our dogs were happy and calm - a great change from when we would pick them up from boarding or come home to our prior dog sitter in the past. If you need a dog sitter you can trust while away, I cannot recommend Heidi enough. She truly is the best!
