Safety, trust & environment

I have a very high level of respect for the owner’s boundaries about what their pup does and does not do while in our care. Working on a strict puppy schedule, potty or obedience training? I am happy to pick up where you left off and keep them going. Senior best friend that you want to have chicken nuggets for supper? You don’t have to ask me twice! On or off furniture? Your call. I ensure they get daily exercise and all the love they can handle, until you return.

Information Heidi S. would like to know about your pet

Let me know any specific details about your pet. We are flexible and aim to treat your pet exactly as you do, to make their stay with us comfortable and enjoyable. Some info we’ll need when you drop your pet/s off: What does your pets day to day routine look like? -Feeding schedule / amount? -Any medications? (And med schedule) -Any allergies? -Any specific potty schedule? -On or off furniture? -Crate while you are away or roaming the house? -Food or toy aggression? (We just need to be aware, this is not a dealbreaker) -Pups favorite activities (walks, hiking, tug, dog park, squeaky toys…etc) Okay to share our treats OR only use the treats you’ve provided? Vet you use? (And pet’s last name used at the vet)

A typical day

Lots of play time outside. A variety of toys to squeak, tug, chew, and rip apart. If you are okay with it, trips to local walking trails, ponds, pet stores and parks. Couch snuggles.

Pet care experience

I treat your pup like they are my own, plain and simple. Each pet is unique and I take the time to learn what they need to be comfortable and to thrive in our care. Safety is number 1, but I also emphasize your dog’s comfort and enrichment. I have several acres to run and play on, lots of toys and enrichment games, and plenty of healthy treats to go around. Pets are allowed on our furniture, (unless you prefer they are not.) We take daily walks and go on frequent adventures to local walking trails, ponds, pet stores, parks, etc. All activities are tailored to your dog’s energy level, age, etc. I have a very high level of respect for the owner’s boundaries about what their pup does and does not do while in our care. I am big on communication and am happy to text throughout your pup’s stay, as well as share photos and videos, if you’d like. About us: For as long as I can remember, my husband and I have been the go to sitters for our friend’s and family’s vacations, medical stays, and last minute emergencies. I would love to extend that service to our local community. (I am the care taker, but my husband is generally around and interacting with the pets as well.) We have one dog and one cat in our fur family. Our cat has her own space in the home, so it is no problem if your dog is not cat savvy, they don’t need to interact at all. -Smoke free home -Child free home -Large, non-fenced yard. Multiple dog runs set up. Room to roam if thoroughly off leash trained. - Various sized crates and beds. I am familiar with basic dog first aid, dogs who require medications, dogs of all ages, sizes and energy levels. ***Special events: Need someone to attend your special event to care for your pets? Inquire with the location of the event, date and time frame (event hours) and we can discuss reasonable pricing. ***Emergencies: If you are in a pinch and I do not show available, feel free to reach out. Sometimes plans fall through and we may be able to assist.

My little guy just loves his big brother Grissom! He obviously had a great day and is fast asleep 😴 dreaming of running with his buddies (Jacks included! ) will be seeing them again soon.

I mistakenly set up a boarding instead of a daycare, so I let her keep the extra as a tip. My little boy has SUCH a great time at Heidi's and I would recommend her to anyone. Never an issue with my dog as he is a pack dog and will stay with the pack always! If you need Doggy Daycare she is a great choice!
