I hate to be writing this, as we have used Heidi multiple times in the past, but I can no longer recommend this dog sitter. We hired Heidi to stay with our dog for one week. Before booking, I had asked her if she would be ok with our dog sleeping in bed with her. Our dog is used to this and we wanted to minimize any disruptions to her routine. Heidi agreed and we booked her, as usual. While we were gone, everything seemed fine. She would send us a picture each day and would respond quickly to any messages I sent. We returned home to a very stressed and anxious dog. This change prompted us to review our security camera that is in our driveway. We discovered that Heidi did not stay at the house as agreed, and left our dog for upwards of 12 hours alone including overnights. The care instructions indicate she should not be left alone for more than 4 hours. I reached out to Heidi about this in hopes that what I saw was incorrect, but she confirmed this was accurate. Her daughter has been sick so she was staying with her. I absolutely understand this, but had hoped we would have been informed so we could have made other arrangements for our dog. I wish Heidi and her family well, but I can no longer trust her to care for my pet and cannot recommend her to others.

Heidi is excellent! She is very dog savvy, knew what to do to calm anxious behaviors (it was the first time we'd left our pup with a sitter), and sent us a couple photos to ease our worries. And she's unscented/scent neutral - huge bonus for anyone who has fragrance allergies or fragrance-triggered migraines! We'll be happy to book her again.

Heidi is a great companion for April and a wonderful house guest.

We have enjoyed working with Heidi several times and will miss her now that we are moving away. I would recommend Heidi to anyone searching for a new pet sitter. She sends updates and photos and provided plenty of exercise for our energetic dog. We were able to leave the country for a vacation and know that our dog Izzy was in good hands with Heidi!

This is our third time we have hired Heidi to stay with our pup. She feels like a friend! This time Heidi stayed for a week. We received daily pictures and updates, per usual. Our dog looks happy in every picture. We had travel delays on the day we were set to return and Heidi was more than willing to spend additional time with our dog. It made a stressful travel day much better knowing our sweet pup was being cared for. We will absolutely have Heidi stay at our home again and would recommend to everyone.
