Dog skills
Safety, trust & environment
I live with three dogs at home and I spend a considerable amount of time with them. Along with playtime at home, trips outside, and daily walks around the neighborhood, they compete for treats while showing off skills they’ve been training for. Then, after all the excitement, they doze off listening to me read my boring textbooks.
Information Heidi M. would like to know about your pet
Please, let me know if your dog has any special needs, sensitive spots like post surgery soreness, or medications that need to be administered. I will also need to know what kind of equipment you use to walk your dog (collar/chain collar/pinch collar/harness) and if your dog has ever gotten off their leash by slipping out of their collar or harness. No worries if you forget to mention any of these, because I will send you a list of questions to be sure I can care for your pup(s) as well as possible. Prices may be negotiable depending on the situation for each pet. Especially for those with recommendations from previous clients.
A typical day
Walks or jogs outside is a good way for me to provide the dog(s) with an outlet for them to spend their extra energy and enjoy the outdoors. Playing with toys inside is also a good alternative and always fun. I like to encourage good behaviors with treats and belly rubs, and practice their tricks along the way.

Pet care experience
With a veterinarian as a father I grew up caring for dogs that needed extra care throughout the evenings or over holidays that the clinic did not have the extra hours to attend to. Most of these dogs would be puppies, runts of the litter who got sick and required extra attention and medication. Upon recovery they would need socialization and house training so that they were ready to be adopted. This being the case, I have little professional experience but my special skills are puppy care, training, and general care/entertainment.
Reviews

Heidi is always amazing and takes great care of dogs young and old!

Heidi is the best! She is the only one we trust to take care of our baby. She sends the best updates and photos. We have used her many times and look forward to again in the future!

Heidi is a fantastic dogsitter! Very detail-oriented in dog care and Rover reports, and I do not need to worry about my dog when I leave.

Heidi has always taken good care of my older dog, arrived promptly, kept detailed notes for Rover cards, walked as far as I requested, and maintained a high-quality of care.
