I work part time but have flexibility because I write my own schedule so I can easily fit pet care into my schedule and make sure I am there for your beloved pets.

Safety, trust & environment
For walks I use two points of attachment to both my wrist and leash belt to help keep dogs extra secure. I have a LOT of experience walking multiple dogs at once and extremely strong dogs as well. I am very careful when entering the home to place my foot in first and block any escape artists. I have never had a pet escape. My yard is secured with a large brick wall. I have two friendly dogs that are used to all breeds from our foster experience. I also have experience and space to keep your pet in a separated area if your pet would rather not play with others.
Information Heidi K. would like to know about your pet
It is helpful to know about any triggers or safety concerns. For example if your dog chases cars on walks or if they chew up toys and bedding so I can help keep your pet safe and secure.
A typical day
I love to engage a dog’s brain. Whether it’s through fun activities like trick training, fetch, or tug of war or my personal favorite brain games like hide and seek, scent work, or agility. I also love taking pups(who enjoy it) on field trips like car rides, walks around really engaging places like the riparian preserve, hikes or simple sniffaris around the neighborhood.

Pet care experience
I love pets of all kinds. I have two dogs of my own & puppy raised for a guide dog school. I have fostered and volunteered for both a rescue and a shelter so I get experience with dogs of all ages and breeds. I also have experience with pet cats & kitten fosters. I have experience with training and dogs with medical conditions requiring treatment. I’m comfortable with dogs that pull, have leash reactivity, anxiety, and large strong breeds(but I love to help your smaller critters too.) I can’t wait to make friends with your pets.
Reviews
Heidi is great with our Casey. Thank you Heidi
Heidi is a fantastic pet caregiver. I know that she regularly volunteers to foster dogs from the local animal shelter and often volunteers to take dogs there for walks. She also brings by dog toys and enrichment for the animals there. I also know that Heidi has worked on training for her own dog enough to pass advanced training courses. I trust Heidi as an excellent pet caregiver.
