With over 18 years of experience caring for dogs, cats, and even guinea pigs, animals have always been the center of my life. I am a certified dog trainer through ABC (Animal Behavior College), where I completed coursework and hands-on mentorship training. My first Jack Russell, full of energy and determination, inspired me to become a trainer and deepened my passion for understanding animal behavior. Today, I share my home with a younger, playful pack, including another Jack Russell, and I’ve learned the importance of balancing order, safety, and discipline with letting dogs simply enjoy being dogs. I believe younger dogs benefit from observation, gentle guidance, and time to grow before intense training, so my focus is always on safe, positive, and enriching experiences. I use equipment designed for safety — such as secure belt leashes — to make sure dogs are comfortable and protected on walks. Whether it’s puppies, seniors, or high-maintenance small breeds, I have the hands-on experience to give each pet the right level of care and attention. My senior dog, who recently passed after nearly 17 years by my side, required 24/7 care during her final year. That experience taught me patience, vigilance, and the deep responsibility of caring for animals at every stage of life. Our home is designed with pets in mind — safe, welcoming, and filled with love. With a friendly resident pack, dogs here need to enjoy the company of other dogs to feel at home. Small dogs are my specialty, but I welcome pups of all kinds and treat every animal as if they were my own. The only challenge you might face? Your dog may not want to go home.

Heidi is absolutely amazing! My two dogs stay with her every day while I’m at work, and it’s honestly so much better than traditional doggie daycare. They get to play with her sweet dogs in a big, secure yard, and they always come home happy and tired (the best kind of tired!). I love knowing they’re in a safe, loving environment where they get real attention and care—not just a quick walk and a kennel. Heidi is my daugher. Heidi first got her 2 dogs at 8 wks old when she was 23. She is now 39, and the dogs have been number 1 in her life. She cooks for them, and they have a very large garden, with special areas for them. She takes them everywhere, and treats them as an equal. She has taken one to an old folks’ home as a companion dog, and volunteered at a rescue home. Heidi is from Melbourne, Australia, and came to the USA to get married 14 years ago. She has travelled widely, and with her dogs, and is a very attractive, hard-working, very clean intelligent person. However, her greatest quality is that she is a kind, gentle person, caring for her dogs like children. Heidi has always wanted her own pet business, as that is her passion in life. You would rest assured your pet, would be tenderly cared for and loved. She also has 2 cats. Basically Heidi is a pet lover.
Heidi is very good with all animals. She is kind, loving and patient. You will not find a better person to take care of your animals.

Schedule
My partner and I both work from home, so we’re with our dogs throughout the day. We balance our time between working indoors and enjoying the outdoors when the weather is nice, with walks and dog park visits built into our mornings and evenings. We also enjoy picnics, hikes, and other activities that include our pets, since they’re truly part of our everyday life. None of our animals are ever crated — they’re free to be with us and part of our routine at all times.

We have three secure, fenced yard areas designed for different activities. One area is set aside for bathroom breaks, where pets can go on their own. The other two yards are used for supervised playtime. Inside, our dogs have access to two levels of the home. The lower level is the cat zone, and the cats also enjoy access to one of the fenced yards. All pets have free range within their spaces and spend the day with me or my partner, so they are always supervised and cared for. We don’t crate any of our own pets — they are all very friendly and used to being around both cats and dogs. I’m a very hands-on, “helicopter” type fur mom — safety, love, and care are always my top priorities. I make sure pets are mentally stimulated, and I’m always checking for ticks or any health concerns. I shared my life with two beloved dogs for nearly 17 and 15 years, and losing them a few years ago was heartbreaking. They traveled everywhere with me and showed me the depth of the bond we share with animals. Caring for pets is my greatest passion, and I feel honored every day to be in their company. I will do whatever is required to keep your animals happy and cared for as if they were my own. I will always follow your instructions closely — from feeding to routines — and will never do anything that isn’t approved by you. Your pets’ safety, comfort, and happiness come first.

A typical day
When your dog stays with us for the day or overnight, they’re simply part of our pack. My dogs do everything with me, and your pup will too. We’ve got three fenced yards for running, playing, and bathroom breaks, plus a secure zip-up seat in the car so they can safely come along on adventures. If you’re okay with it, we’ll hit the dog park, go for walks, or just run around outside together. At home, there’s plenty of room to play catch, wrestle with toys, or flop down for a nap. Our home is set up with animals in mind — people always tell us how much they love the way it feels for pets here. Your dog will be with me or my partner all day, whether we’re inside, outside, walking, or just hanging out. I’ll follow whatever routine works best for your pup. Safety, love, and comfort come first — always. I’ll care for them like my own, making sure they’re happy, stimulated, and never left out.
